My friends affectionately call my house Katie's Home for Wayward Animals. I have rescued 3 dogs and 3 cats, as well as one axolotl in a tank. I've pet-sat for many years for both cats and dogs, via word-of-mouth and a house-sitting platform. I'm a PhD student and work from home so I have a lot of flexibility for daytime drop-ins, but I'm open to any time of day. I can give medication, and make friends with anxious or shy pets (or just give them their space! I respect the space).

I am a huge animal lover and can often whisper even the shyest cat or dog out of its shell! I understand different temperaments and how to approach animals safely and patiently. I love to play with animals, cuddle them, or simply give them their own space if that makes them most comfortable.

Katie is a highly responsible and passionate pet care provider. She cares regularly for dogs, cats, and also has some reptile, bird, and aquatics experience. She communicates very effectively with owners, is always respectful of property, and is passionate about the animals she cares for. She has experience with a variety of temperaments in both cats and dogs, understanding their individual needs for space or interaction/play. She is experienced with various health circumstances, as well, such as providing for specific dietary needs for different animals within the same home, and addressing health concerns or emergencies.
Katie is incredibly caring and trustworthy. I have worked with Katie on multiple occasions and would trust her to care for my animals and house without question. She deeply loves animals, leaves places in great condition and is very responsive. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for housesitting or petsitters.

Schedule
Working from home means my schedule is flexible! As long as I have some notice, I can easily prepare to stop by your place to visit your babies.
