Hello! My husband trained K9s in the military and was a police K9 handler in a local jurisdiction here in Virginia. Once his K9 retired we adopted him for good and made him part of our family forever! We also have a small fluffy puppy that my kids adore! They play with the German Shepherd and snuggle with the Puppy. I was a police officer for nine years until I retired to enjoy my kids when they were little. I have always had a dog and have been the main care taker for them for years. I also help care for my sisters elderly boxer, he is about the most high maintenance dog we know, but we love him anyway! :) We recently went on vacation and were astonished at not only the prices for boarding our dog but really the overall lack of care for them while they were there, this inspired me to look for other pet care options and I found Rover!
