I’ve had dogs of all sizes throughout my life and have plenty of experience caring for different breeds, personalities and routines. I’m confident with everything from smaller dogs to large and giant breeds, and I understand that every dog needs something slightly different to feel comfortable. I work from home and live in the countryside with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, which gives me the flexibility to provide dogs with lots of company, exercise and attention throughout their stay. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine around feeding, walks, training and sleeping. Above everything, I want them to feel safe, settled and properly cared for while they’re away from you.

I was initially nervous about trusting someone else with my dog given he’s only young and never been to day care, but Katie and Blue made him feel completely at home. He loved having so much space to play in the garden and got on brilliantly Blue. He always comes back knackered, looking forward to seeing what he gets up to next month!

Schedule
I work fully remotely with a flexible schedule, so I’m home throughout the day and can provide regular toilet breaks, company and attention rather than dogs being left alone for long periods. I usually head out for a good walk at lunchtime or after work, with Clytha just a couple of minutes away. There are open areas to explore, places to paddle and plenty of space for a proper run around. I’m happy to include these walks at no additional cost where suitable for your dog. My weekends are always dog-friendly too, whether that’s a longer countryside walk, exploring somewhere new or visiting a dog-friendly café or pub. I’m happy to adapt plans around your dog’s age, energy levels and usual routine. I’m available for both daytime and overnight care, including weekends, and can be flexible with drop-off and collection times. Pick-up may also be possible depending on distance.

Safety, trust & environment
My home is in a quiet countryside setting, accessed through a secure metal gate followed by around 1km of private driveway. There’s a large garden and plenty of space indoors, including quieter areas where dogs can relax or have their own space if they need some downtime. I do have my Great Dane, Blu, at home. He’s super friendly and used to having other dogs around, but I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet before a first booking so your dog can meet both of us and get familiar with the environment before their stay. Dogs are very much part of the household here, so they’re welcome to get comfortable rather than being restricted to one area. Whether they prefer sleeping on the sofa, following me around the house or finding somewhere quiet to relax, I’ll make sure they have somewhere they feel settled - while of course following any rules you have at home. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay, so you know how they’re getting on and can relax knowing they’re happy and settled.

A typical day
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all routine here - I’ll tailor your dog’s day around their age, personality, energy levels and what they’re used to at home. Their day can include countryside walks, playtime in the garden, enrichment and training, as well as plenty of time to relax. Clytha is just a couple of minutes away and is one of my regular walking spots, with open areas to explore and places to paddle. For older or more relaxed dogs, I’m just as happy to keep things slower with shorter walks, time in the garden and plenty of downtime at home. I’ll always follow your instructions around exercise, feeding and training so their routine stays as familiar as possible.

- Before booking, please let me know about your dog’s usual routine, feeding, medication, allergies or any additional needs. I’d also like to know about their temperament, behaviour around other dogs, recall and anything that might make them anxious or uncomfortable. The more I know beforehand, the easier it is for me to keep things familiar and make sure they have a safe and comfortable stay.
