I've cared for pets from a young age, including cats, dogs, chinchillas, hamsters, tortoises, fish, and even hedgehogs, so quite the variety! While I love all animals, cats and dogs are my favorites. I have experience training puppies beyond my own, helping them learn commands, crate training (when desired), and proper house training. My own dog is allowed on the furniture and bed, but I fully respect each owner's preferences and always follow instructions to ensure the best care for both pets and their humans. I’m an active person, committed to hitting 10k steps a day, so dog walking fits perfectly into my routine. I truly enjoy it (poop scooping included). I’ve worked with families that have multiple pets and have provided pet sitting both in my own home and at clients’ homes. I understand that every animal is unique and always provide personalised care tailored to their individual needs, asking you for as much detail as possible and always updating you with photos and videos of your pets whilst they’re in my care. I have lots of returning clients due to my high standards, trustworthiness & reliability.

Katie looked after my springer spaniel Smooches for 5 nights & done a fabulous job at keeping us updated with picture & videos. She walked her each day & Smooches looked right at home from the beginning - snuggled on the sofa & playing with toys. House was clean & safe. Would definitely use Katie again. Thank you!

Schedule
I have a flexible schedule and prioritise my days around the pet(s) I am caring for. When I look after any pet, I treat them exactly how I would want someone to treat my own pets - with integrity, care and personalised to their needs. I pride myself on high standards: clean, safe environments, trusting relationships, reliability and genuine care. I have a car, making transport easy when needed. With no children in my home and support from my mum and sister, my own pet can be out of the house if required, ensuring a comfortable environment for any pet in my care.

In my home, pets have a comfortable and safe environment with plenty of space to relax and play. I have a secure, fenced garden for fresh air and exercise, and a crate available if needed. My own dog is friendly and happy to provide company, but if a pet prefers to be the only one around, I can easily arrange for my dog to stay with my mum or sister. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s routine closely to keep things familiar and stress-free. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or cuddles, I ensure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I also keep things tidy and make sure they have everything they need while their owner is away.

A typical day
For dogs, I offer long or short walks, there is a nearby park, we can engage in playtime in my secure garden, games like fetch or tug-of-war, and mental stimulation with puzzle toys or basic training exercises. If they enjoy socializing, they can have friendly playtime with my dog or if they prefer solo time, I adjust accordingly. For cats, I can provide plenty of play with feather wands, laser pointers, or their favorite toys, along with cozy cuddle sessions (if they enjoy affection). I also make sure they have a calm, stress-free environment with lots of enrichment. Above all, I focus on making sure each pet feels comfortable, entertained, and loved while in my care!

- Before caring for a pet, I like to know as much as possible to ensure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. Some key things I ask about include: Routine & Preferences – Feeding schedule, walk times, favorite toys, and usual habits. Personality & Behavior – Are they shy, social, energetic, or anxious? Any quirks I should know about? Medical Needs – Any medications, allergies, or health conditions? Training & Rules – Commands they know, crate training, furniture rules, etc. Socialization – Do they enjoy being around other pets, or do they prefer space? Emergency Contacts – Vet details and a backup contact, just in case. The more I know, the better I can provide personalized care that keeps them happy and comfortable.
