ABOUT US: My family and I love dogs. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools my daughter. My husband loves to experiment with gentle training techniques. Dogs have been a part of most of our lives. Our beloved chocolate lab passed away in 2021 and we've missed him dearly. We took a break from dog sitting to grieve and although nothing will fill his void, we're really craving that energy a dog brings to the home. We'd love to be able to meet you and see if your dog is a good fit for us to watch. OUR LIFESTYLE: We live a home-centered life with a consistent daily routine, which provides a calm and predictable environment for dogs. Our mornings usually start early with breakfast and outdoor time. During homeschool hours, your dog will be with us — getting love, attention, and often a comfy spot by our feet. We take regular breaks throughout the day, which includes potty breaks and playtime in the yard. Our family loves nature outings and if it suits your dog, we'd love to bring them along! A NOTE ABOUT OUR HOME: We do have chickens in a securely fenced backyard coop, so please let us know if your dog has a high prey drive or sensitivity to small animals. Our top priority is the safety of all animals in our care. Other than that special note, our home has a huge fenced in backyard to play in, or if they prefer, an 1800 square foot home to lounge around in. IS YOUR DOG A GOOD FIT? Because of our daily homeschooling routine, we’ve found that crate-trained, non-anxious dogs tend to do best in our home, as the structure and rhythm of our days offer a lot of calm consistency. Your dog will be treated like a member of the family, and we’ll keep you updated with photos and notes, so you never feel too far away. IMPORTANT BOOKING INFO! I only board one dog at a time so your dog gets my full attention while they're here. Because of that, spots can book up quickly-especially during weekends and holidays! For all new clients, I like to do a meet and greet before confirming a booking - just to make sure we're a good fit and that your dog feels comfortable in our home. (PLEASE NOTE): If a returning client wants the same dates and is ready to book before our meet and greet happens, I will give them priority. Once we've met and everything feels right, I'm happy to move forward with your booking if the dates are still open! **HOURS for DROP OFF and PICK UP: 8AM - 7PM ** Thanks for understanding, and I'm excited to meet you and your dog soon!

We had an exceptional experience with Katie and her family. From start to finish, they treated Finn like he was a member of their own family, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We received daily photos and updates, which truly meant so much to us and showed just how well cared for and loved he was throughout his stay. Katie was amazing to work with — responsive, kind, and incredibly professional. Her one-dog-at-a-time policy truly sets her apart, as it ensures that each pet receives her full attention and individualized care. It was clear from the very beginning that Finn was her top priority. We are beyond grateful for the love and care Katie showed Finn and we will absolutely be using her services again in the future. I highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable boarder.
Katie and her family are so excellent!!! We can tell our dog was so cared for and there was great communication start to finish. We received lots of pics and videos of our dog having an absolute blast while she was there. Their fenced in backyard is also perfect for pets. Can’t recommend them enough!

Planning
As a stay-at-home mom, we have ample amount of time to take your dog outside, play, and love! The neighborhood kids come to our house often and love to play with dogs as well. There's lots of fun going on here from racing dogs, to playing tag, and more!

I am home most of the time to keep an eye on your dog. For the infrequent times we are away, I can easily crate your dog if needed.

To get in as much as movement as possible, I like to walk in the mornings. Aside from that, we homeschool, and we'd love a dog who can simply hang out and chill during that time. We take many breaks in between for potty breaks and playing. When school is out and the neighbors come home, they love to come check out the "dog of the week." You'll probably run into them at a meet and greet.
