I’m a lifelong dog lover and have been around dogs from a young age, growing up with a family dog and now having a little sausage dog of my own. Over the years, I’ve regularly cared for dogs belonging to family and friends, as well as gaining valuable experience fostering dogs through a dog charity. My experience has helped me understand different personalities and the importance of adapting care to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I offer day and overnight care in our family home, where I work alongside my mum. I complete much of my work and admin from home, so there is plenty of time throughout the day for company, attention, play and regular toilet breaks. When I need to pop out for work visits, I’m never usually away for more than a few hours, and my mum is generally at home, so dogs are rarely left without company. A typical day includes an early morning walk around 7am, plenty of playtime and garden breaks throughout the day, followed by a longer walk around 5pm. We have a secure fenced garden with plenty of space for play and toilet breaks, as well as a lovely park within walking distance for walks and exploring. Most importantly, I want every dog staying with me to feel safe, relaxed and part of the family. I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, walking and sleeping routines as closely as possible, while giving them plenty of affection, attention, playtime and cuddles throughout their stay
