Dog Lover on a Soulful Journey
After losing my beloved fur baby of 13.5 years, Jax, to a massive tumor, I decided to leave Corporate America and embark on a soul-searching journey through South America. Along the way, I connected with so many wonderful dogs who filled my heart with love and comfort. Now that I’m back home, I’m focusing on writing a book about my journey and enjoying the flexibility in my schedule. Though I’m not ready for another dog of my own just yet, I would love to be an "auntie" to yours. Friends always joked that I treated Jax better than most people treat their children—we were inseparable! We’d go on outdoor adventures, especially to the beach, which was our happy place. During the last year of his life, I cooked him healthy meals and found natural supplements to help him through his battle. I’d love to care for your pup while you’re off on your own adventures, either in your home or mine. I have a passion for yoga, self-care, travel, live music, good food, and sunsets—so your fur baby will be in good company on our little adventures.

Katie was fantastic! So communicative and really took the time to get to know Kimber and keep up with her daily routine. I've known Katie for about 6 years and she has always been an animal lover. For most of the time I've known her, she had her own little dog-child who sadly passed away last fall. She was a great pet parent and she and I and our dogs went on adventures together, so I witnessed the devoted care and great life she provided for her pup. I know she would go out of her way to keep safe and happy any pet that comes into her life, so I think she will be a great asset to any person or family who entrusts their pet to her!
I cannot say enough about Katie. When I was out of town, I hired someone that I met through a friend to stay at my house and watch my 16-year old dog, Lucky. Lucky got out and was missing for five hours. Katie found him on the side of the road exhausted, dehydrated, in really bad condition as a senior, and scared. She then called me from the number on his tag. Not only did she nurse him back to health, but she took care of him at her house for another five days while I was gone. Lucky is not comfortable with most people and is very anxious. He adored her and went nuts when he saw her again a couple of months later. Katie is caring, responsible, an all-around great person, and most importantly LOVES DOGS and they love her back.
Katie was a great dog sitter when she watched our yellow lab. She walked him multiple times a day, gave him so much attention and love and sent updated pictures daily! She has such a love for animals and she treats your dog like it is her own. She is also very clean and considerate inside the home. I highly recommend Katie.
Katie is a phenomenal caretaker. I have left her with my animals for countless trips and she used to have an awesome little guy of her own. She is very responsive and responsible.

Schedule
I'm super flexible with my schedule, so your pup can join me on walks in the Back Bay or the Beach—two of my favorite spots! If they prefer some quiet time, they can hang out with me while I’m writing my book, or we can just snuggle on the couch and relax together. Whether it’s outdoor adventures or cozy downtime, I’m happy to give your fur baby the care and love they need.

To ensure your pup’s comfort and safety, it’s important to know about their temperament and preferences. Understanding what they enjoy, their routine, and any specific needs they might have helps me provide the best care possible. While I may prefer to host them at my place, I’m open to staying at your home if it feels right for everyone. A meet-and-greet beforehand is ideal to ensure there’s compatibility and comfort for all parties involved before committing to a stay.
A typical day
Each day will be filled with love, fun, and care! We’ll start with a refreshing walk—whether at the scenic Back Bay, the beach or just around the neighborhood. Afterward, your pup can relax while I work on my book or we can play and explore more, depending on their energy. In the evening, we’ll wind down with some cozy cuddle time on the couch, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. Whether your pet loves outdoor play or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel happy and cared for.
