In my experience, all dogs and dog parents are different! To respect the safety of the people and pets around me, I prefer to keep dogs leashed at all times, but if you have a fenced yard or a friendly dog park that you would like me to play with your pet in, I am happy to do that too. If I notice that a situation seems unsafe, I will remove your pup from the situation and go on a walk elsewhere. I am also comfortable crating dogs if that is preferred once I leave your home and will, of course, make sure doors are secure and locked before leaving my visits! Happy to accommodate any level of safety concerns or expectations.

Pet care experience
I have had dogs all my life and they always bring me so much joy! Right now, I get to visit my family dog, Raven (pictured in my profile), and my partner's dog, but I have some extra affection to go around and am looking for some pups to play with or sit during the week. Between my family dogs and my life growing up working on farms, I have taken care of dogs who have a wide variety of needs and behaviors. I have had big dogs my entire life so am super comfortable with larger pups, but I also love smaller dogs as well. I grew up with retrievers, so I understand the needs of active dogs and will work to provide as much activity is needed. I have also sat senior dogs and dogs with medical conditions as well and am happy to accommodate any medication/feeding/activity level. I understand how much trust we need in the people who take care of our furry friends, and I promise to provide the level of care I would want my own dogs to get!

Katie did an incredible job of taking care of our pup! If anything arose, she reached out and promptly found a solution. We arrived home to a happy pup and a clean home. We will definitely be having her stay with Olive again soon!
Really appreciated her covering when my normal sitter had to cancel for an emergency. Came home to a happy pup!
Katie was a godsend! I used her services to house sit and care for my cat and dog for one week. She went above and beyond for my little fur babies! My dog loved her from the beginning and she would send pics of them cuddling. My cat is particular of who he wants and he took a liking to her by giving her some snuggles (he doesn’t even do that with my husband). My flight was delayed by 4 hours and she offered to do a late walk and fed for both my pets. I never had someone house sit before but I trust Katie. She left the house in clean condition and both pets were fine and well cared for. I would def use her again!!
