When I rescued my dog, she was heartworm positive and had behavioral issues. Through many hours of trainings, socializations, playtime, and rest, she has taught me so much about dog behavior and has sparked something in me that I didn’t know was there before her. I have a passion for caring for and loving on dogs and giving them what they need in order to be successful, happy, and thriving.

I like to give the pet time to warm up and get acclimated to me. I don’t force them to play right away, or do anything that they are uncomfortable with. I like to take my time and observe their behavior to get a feel for what their expectations and boundaries are. From there, I like to use treats, toys, and games to let them know its okay to be playful (if thats something they’re into). My goal is to not disrupt the pet’s routine when possible.
Ratings and reviews
Katie took good care of our house and 2 big boys (Great Pyrenees and Lab mixes). She provided frequent updates and was quick to reply to any questions or concerns. We’ll definitely book again!
Katie is wonderful! She is fabulous with our pup and always so accommodating with our fosters!

Schedule
I am available for nights and weekends. Occasionally i have some flexibility during the work day but that is on a case-by-case basis and depends on travel time/proximity as well.

- Anything that the might be particular about - how much attention they do or do not want, does the dog pull on the leash, are they allowed treats/snacks. I recognize that I’m a new being in their space so I want to help the animals be as comfortable as possible
