Pet care experience

Active Dog Mom & Dog Lover!

Hi! I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for family and friends for over 10 years, giving me plenty of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m also a proud dog mom to a playful 3-year-old French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix, whom we’ve raised since she was a puppy. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member, and I’m committed to providing the same level of care, love, and attention I’d want for my own pup. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping your dog company, I’m here to make sure they’re happy, safe, and well-cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

Thank you so very much for taking such wonderful care of our Daisy. We know she's a bit of a diva and sometimes a handful so we really appreciate your loving care of her. We will definitely keep you in mind in the future.

Katie was amazing! I didn’t once stress that Gouda was being taken care of well while I was gone. She was very communicative and sent wonderful photos all the time. She was also flexible when our travel was delayed. I’m so grateful to have found her!

My dog Gouda had a great time with Katie and Buckie. Katie was very communicative and it was very easy to coordinate with her. She also sent tons of adorable pictures and updates during Gouda’s stay.

Schedule

Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine! As a dog mom myself, I’m already used to planning my day around walks, feeding times, play sessions, and making sure my pup feels loved and cared for. Adding pet sitting or dog walking into my schedule fits right in with that rhythm. I’m flexible with my time and make sure to prioritize each pet’s specific needs, whether that means sticking to their feeding schedule, going on long walks, or just spending quality time with them. I truly enjoy being around animals, so caring for pets doesn’t feel like a job—it’s something I love to do!

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s home, I always prioritize making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In My Home: I create a welcoming, pet-friendly environment where dogs can feel at ease. I stick to their usual routines as much as possible—whether that’s feeding schedules, walk times, or play sessions. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, and I’m mindful of their specific needs, whether it’s administering medication, accommodating special diets, or giving them space if they’re more reserved. My home is safe, secure, and dog-proofed, and I make sure my own pup is comfortable and gets along well with any visiting dogs. In a Client’s Home: I respect and follow the routines and guidelines set by the pet parents. I’ll make sure your dog feels right at home in their own environment, keeping up with their usual schedule for feeding, walks, and play. I’m attentive to their behavior and mood, making sure they feel relaxed and cared for while you’re away. I’m also mindful of keeping your home tidy and secure while I’m there, treating it with the same respect I would my own. In both cases, communication is key! I love sending updates, photos, and little notes to let you know how your pet is doing, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Pets

A typical day

I love giving each pup personalized attention based on what they enjoy most! Every dog has their own unique personality, and I’m all about tailoring activities to fit their interests. If your dog loves being active, we’ll go on long walks around the neighborhood for some fresh air and new sights. If they’re more into playtime, I’m ready for endless games of fetch or tug-of-war to burn off that extra energy. And of course, for the cuddle bugs, I’m happy to give all the belly rubs, snuggles, and cozy downtime they could ask for. Whether your pup wants to run, play, or just relax, I’m here to make sure they’re happy, engaged, and feeling loved while you’re away. Whatever their style, I’m the girl for the job!

Before caring for any dog, it’s important for me to know their routine, personality, and any specific needs to ensure they feel comfortable and safe. I like to learn about their daily routine, such as feeding schedules, walk times, bathroom habits, and any bedtime rituals they’re used to. Understanding their temperament and behavior is key—how they interact with other dogs, people, or kids, and if they have any fears or anxieties, like loud noises or unfamiliar environments. It is also important for me to know about any health concerns, allergies, or medications they might need, as well as any training they’ve had and commands they respond to. It’s helpful to know how they behave on a leash and if there are any behaviors you’re currently working on. Of course, I love hearing about their favorite toys, games, and activities, as well as anything they’re not too fond of. Lastly, having your vet’s contact information and knowing what steps to take in case of an emergency is essential. The more I know, the better I can provide care that feels just like home!
