I work from home and have a 3-year-old golden retriever, so pups staying in my home will get to enjoy as much (or as little) interaction as makes sense for them. Typically the only time that pets are left alone is when I go to the gym or for real estate showings (typically 2-4 hours max), and depending on their individual needs and instructions left by you, will either be left in the main living area of my home, or crated.

My 3-year-old golden retriever loves to welcome new friends, as do my 7 and 10year old sons. While my golden (Lou) is allowed on the furniture and no longer sleeps in a crate, we are happy to crate your dog(s) just as you would at home so they don't lose their routine. When boarding, we walk and play daily.

Please be sure to let me know feeding schedules as well as where your dog usually sleeps, and whether or not they’re allowed on furniture (my pup is allowed on the couch and bed, however I never try to create new “bad” habits if a dog comes from a home where that’s not allowed). . I prefer to take care of dogs that have had at least some training and know basic commands. They must be house trained and not mark territory inside. They also must be good with other dogs and young children (10 & 7).
A typical day
We do lots of play time with the ball and stuffed animals, and at minimum daily walks to and from the bus stop and around the neighborhood, and up to 3 miles with younger/more energetic pups.

Pet care experience
I like to keep stays with me feeling like “home” for everyone (humans and dogs alike) so I never board more than 3 dogs at a time (in addition to my 2-year old Golden). I am also an approved foster home for Golden Rescue of South Florida and Big Dog ranch. After working extensively with a highly renowned local dog trainer, while I do not offer training myself, I do sprinkle all I've learned with all dogs who stay with us.
