Very Experienced Dog and Cat Friend
I've been walking dogs and pet sitting for 8 years. I've had mostly long-term clients during that time that kept my schedule pretty full, but I have room in my schedule now that I'm looking to fill. My regular clients have described me as part of the family and their dog's best friend. I love building lasting relationships with my clients and being able to help care for their beloved furry family members. I'm very good at managing my schedule to ensure that all my clients get the time and level of care that they deserve. Over the past 8 years, I've gained a wide variety of experience. I have experience working with leash reactive dogs, fearful/anxious dogs, seniors with special needs, and puppies. I've administered a variety of medications, including ear drops and eye drops in both dogs and cats. I've even changed diapers. While I'm not a trainer, I have worked with trainers and am able to follow instructions and remain consistent with your dog to reinforce good behavior and help keep them on the right track. I'm also happy to care for your amphibious or reptilian friends and have experience feeding fish, frogs, axolotl, and even a tortoise! And let's not forget the cats! I had my own cats for a long time and love my feline friends. I'm happy to visit your cats while you're out of town to give them their regular meals, clean up their boxes, and give them some much needed play time.

Safety, trust & environment
When I'm not out walking dogs, I will be hanging out at the house with your pets to keep them company. I might watch a lot of TV and movies while we snuggle on the couch, if that's their thing. I might hang out in the yard, play fetch, or give them puzzle toys to keep them occupied if they need lots of activity. I do my best to stick to their regular routine so they can have a sense of normalcy while their people are gone.

Katie walked and pet-sat our previous dog for several years and now walks our current dog. She is very clearly a dog lover and is confident working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Our dog is a young, 60-lb pit bull who is still working on some basic training. Katie is able to take him on walks and help him learn manners and improve his skills. Even though he's scared of most people, he has really warmed up to her and is very excited when she comes over for walks. Katie is very communicative and responsive, providing updates about when she will arrive and how our dog is doing. I have recommended her to friends and family for dog walks as well as dog and cat sitting. If you are looking for a friendly, reliable, experienced, and knowledgeable dog walker or pet sitter, Katie is great!
Katie has been taking care of my pets for 8-9 years now and she is the best. I have one dog and two cats and they all adore her!! Katie is very responsible and I know the fur babies are in good hands when I’m away. She’s great at communicating, always sending me updates and a few pictures each day. I highly recommend Katie.

Schedule
I currently have a light dog-walking schedule and typically only have to go out for a few hours each day. That means I can spend plenty of time with your pets when I'm pet sitting. I'm happy to review my schedule with you ahead of time so you know how long I will have to be gone, but I typically don't leave dogs alone for longer than about 4 hours each day.
