I have recently finished my Animal Science degree at Newcastle University and am currently awaiting my final results. I have grown up around both dogs and cats, which has given me a genuine love for animals and confidence in caring for animals with different personalities and needs. Alongside my studies, I have been working part time at Hurworth Burn Luxury Pet Hotel, gaining hands on experience caring for dogs in a professional setting. My responsibilities include supervising walks, assisting with bathing and administering medication, monitoring behaviour and wellbeing, maintaining clean living areas and meeting each dog's individual feeding and care needs. I am confident caring for dogs of all different sizes and I pride myself on being reliable, patient, attentive and trustworthy. I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away.

I always prioritise making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home and during walks. Through my kennel work experience, I am confident caring for dogs and cats and following their individual routines and care needs. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise, cleanliness, and behaviour monitoring to ensure pets remain happy and healthy while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of trust, communication, and regular updates for owners after each visit or walk.

Katie was great. She was reliable and looked after Wesley really well. He is a very timid cat and she didn't really see him even though she tried her best to tempt him out, but she also knew when to leave him alone. She left my place really clean and sent me detailed updates every day. I would recommend Katie to look after any cat.
Katie, was caring attentive and patient in developing a relationship with my cat, she did this slowly without overwhelming my cat whom was already anxious Katie followed instructions around feeding / playtime whilst keeping me less anxious about leaving her. Katie has made my experience of using a sitter a lot more reassuring.
Katie was fantastic with my cat. She was attentive, caring, and sent daily photo updates - you could tell that my cat was comfortable with her. She also went above and beyond by accommodating a last-minute extension to my booking. Would happily book again and recommend her to anyone needing a reliable cat sitter.
Katie was absolutely amazing looking after our young indoor cat and we would 100% recommend her! She was so attentive and cared for him so well, keeping us informed with updates and photos throughout our stay. We have tried putting our cat in a Cattery before and he always seemed stressed when we came home. After Katie looked after him we came back to a very happy and relaxed cat and we could not be more grateful!

Schedule
I recently finished my Animal Science degree at Newcastle University and am currently awaiting my final results, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I currently work part-time, so I am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week and weekends. I always make time to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, play, and companionship while in my care.
