I have recently finished my Animal Science degree at Newcastle University and am currently awaiting my final results. I have grown up around both dogs and cats, which has given me a genuine love for animals and confidence in caring for animals with different personalities and needs. Alongside my studies, I have been working part time at Hurworth Burn Luxury Pet Hotel, gaining hands on experience caring for dogs in a professional setting. My responsibilities include supervising walks, assisting with bathing and administering medication, monitoring behaviour and wellbeing, maintaining clean living areas and meeting each dog's individual feeding and care needs. I am confident caring for dogs of all different sizes and I pride myself on being reliable, patient, attentive and trustworthy. I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away.

I always prioritise making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home and during walks. Through my kennel work experience, I am confident caring for dogs and cats and following their individual routines and care needs. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise, cleanliness, and behaviour monitoring to ensure pets remain happy and healthy while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of trust, communication, and regular updates for owners after each visit or walk.

Katie was an amazing carer: she’s reliable, punctual, and warm, and when I had some last-minute changes, she accommodated them cheerfully. Best of all, my timid rescue Pomeranian Minnie adored her, as did my two cats. When she met her, Katie let Minnie make the first moves and slowly won her over, which isn’t easy as Minnie can be quite reactive. I could tell by the pictures Katie sent and by how happy Minnie was when I got home that Katie had made her feel comfortable and loved. I highly recommend Katie, especially for nervous babies!
Came home to a happy cat who was well cared for. Katie sent pics, played with him and secured the property. Will definitely book again, thank you Katie!

Katie was fabulous at looking after Ruby. Very professional in all of her communication and kept me fully up to date (with photos of a very happy hound!). I could see how happy and relaxed Ruby was in being looked after by Katie who was able to give her medication and take excellent care of her. Ruby can’t wait to see her again!
Katie was absolutely amazing, and I'll definitely be recommending her and booking her again. Her communication was excellent throughout. She provided detailed Rover cards and always kept me up to date with any changes or concerns. She took fantastic care of Cleo and made me feel completely comfortable leaving her in Katie's care. Even though Cleo is a very shy cat, Katie was patient enough to gain her trust, and within a few days she was able to pet and play with her. When Cleo managed to get out through an upstairs window, Katie handled the situation calmly and kept me updated throughout. She followed the plan we agreed to make sure Cleo could get back inside safely, and I really appreciated how reassuring and proactive she was. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katie to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter.

Schedule
I recently finished my Animal Science degree at Newcastle University and am currently awaiting my final results, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I currently work part-time, so I am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week and weekends. I always make time to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, play, and companionship while in my care.
