Hi, I’m Katie. As an avid dog lover, I have years of experience taking care of/walking my own pups as well as those of friends and family. As the kid of parents who run a no-kill animal shelter back home in MS, I’ve spent years volunteering with shelter dogs and being responsible for multiple pups at a time at adoption events and busy fundraisers with sometimes thousands of people around. I have two easily excitable rescue pups of my own - one of them being partially blind. Because of this, I know how to recognize signs of anxiety and fear in dogs and am able to accommodate special requests regarding your pups sensitivities if at all present. I understand how hard it can be to trust another person to take care of your pup the way you would yourself and will work with you to accommodate their needs in a way that’s both safe and fun. Note for Weekend House Sitting Rates: Includes 24 hours of sitting/feeding/walks Friday-Sunday morning unless discussed prior. Additional Sunday walks and drop in may be added for an additional fee. I work from home every day so spend most of my time with my own lovable pups. One of my pups is crate trained and I can easily accommodate yours if needed. I'm able to walk around my complex a few times a day as well as have access to an on-site fenced dog park and a shaded patio which my dogs love.

As always, Katie is a great communicator while she is caring for my animals. I always feel in the know of what’s going on while I’m away. As a helicopter mom, this is extremely comforting. When I return, the animals are always happy, the Care instructions have been followed completely, and my apartment is in great condition. We are so thankful to have found her!
Katie was awesome!! My dog has serious stranger danger but he took to Katie within minutes of meeting her. I know that he barked and had a hard time on her first drop in but she took that in stride. She was also very flexible when I requested a second check in the next morning. Thank you so much, Katie, for making my first Rover experience a great one!!!

Katie is one of the best sitters I’ve had. My dog can be difficult and anxious around strangers, but my Jasper loved her instantly. Not only did she go above and beyond meeting the dog sitting requirements with walks, food, and playtime, she kept my apartment almost better then I left it. Schedule
I work full time from home with some flexibility in my schedule so it's easy for me to check on your pup mostly in the afternoons. I split my work days between home in Glendale and in the Congress Park neighborhood so have a wide radius of availability.
