Crazy about pets, big or small!
There's not many people out there who love animals as much as me. I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles of all kinds, and other exotics such as sugar gliders. As a part of one of the biggest pet rescues of the Southeast, I have fostered and cared for dogs of all sizes, with all kinds of needs from medications to heartworm treatment. I've also apprenticed with an experienced and well-known dog trainer. I can read dog behavior well, and am patient and understanding with anxious, frightened, and grouchy pups. I want to make sure my client's pets have someone trustworthy looking after them; my pets have always been my family, and I know many others feel that way too. I strive to be of the utmost reliability, the one who will not let you down. I also strive to work with a client's budget as much as possible, because I know I'd want the same done for me.

Katie is the most amazing person that could watch your animals. She cared for my geriatric dogs and cat several times. They absolutely loved her and she spoiled them rotten. Due to her experience in veterinary medicine, I felt at ease asking her to give all the medications my pets needed, as well as trusting her to know what to do in an emergency situation. I have always had reservations about people watching my animals but I've never once felt nervous about leaving my pets in her care. She treats all of them as her own!! What more could you want?
Katie has been watching my pets for just over 2 years. She is always very flexible when I need to make adjustments to our regularly scheduled visits. On top of that, Katie is so accommodating with all the new foster cats/dogs that come through my home. Katie never knows exactly how many "kids" she will have or what special requirements they will need but she takes equally amazing care of all of them. Katie is so caring and kind and I can't recommend her enough!!
I have four rescue dogs. Katie has been a huge help in caring for them in our home. Always professional and very loving to our babies. She has groomed them, bathed them and they trust her. That is huge for little rescue dogs. She is very trustworthy, caring and reliable. When we have travel plans, she is our go-to person and we never have to worry because we know they are with Katie and very well cared for. I also like that she has veterinary contacts in case of an emergency for advice.
I’ve known Katie for years and would absolutely recommend her without reservation for any of your pets needs. Katie is not only reliable and knowledgeable about many species, she has a strong passion for what she does. Katie will love and care for your pets as her own and you will not be disappointed!

Schedule
I currently work full-time from 8-5, but my schedule is usually pretty flexible, making it possible for me to handle drop-in visits/walks, and keeping dogs in my home.

I really enjoy letting an owner know how their pet is doing. I send lots of pictures and updates. My aim is to make the pet feel as comfortable as possible while their human is away!
A typical day
If a dog stays with me, they will have a comfy couch with lots of cuddles, and some great opportunities for walks in a dog-friendly neighborhood. If I'm visiting a pet, I make sure to give them lots of attention and play time while I'm there.
