I work from home full-time so my schedule is very flexible to dedicate love and attention to your fur baby! Whether they need medicine administered, frequent potty breaks, or are a couch potato in need of some company.. I’m here for it all!

I am attentive to their needs and consistently make sure they are comfortable—water is always available, dog beds on the floor / blankets on the couch, and a basket of toys for them to choose from! My goal is to provide a level of care on par with what they are used to receiving from you.

Please let me know if there are any special circumstances I should know before our meet and greet. To list a few, it’s important for me to know if your pup requires any medications, is prone to running out the front door, if they are potty trained, how they behave around other dogs, if they chew items other than toys, and if you crate them or are okay with them being on furniture (my dogs are allowed on the couch/bed but I want to be respectful of any behavioral training you’ve invested in!) If you have any questions about pricing, just ask! I know the “add on” fees/rates can be confusing for first time Rover users so I am happy to explain the details. Don’t hesitate to reach out! :) Please note: unfortunately for me, I’m allergic to cats so I can’t offer in-home housesitting for homes with cats. Walks and brief drop-ins are fine, but I can’t spend prolonged periods indoors with them. (This is in my Rover settings, but I wanted to mention again here so there are no surprises!)

I will keep your dog physically and mentally stimulated while caring for whatever special needs they may require. We’ll go on several walks throughout the day to make sure they get their exercise!

Hi, I’m Katie! I’m 35, work from home full-time, and have been caring for dogs most of my life. I started dog sitting for friends and neighbors as a teenager, and over the past 20 years, I’ve looked after dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and needs—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and care. Whether your dog stays with me or I’m staying in your home, my goal is to give them the same kind of love, attention, and comfort they’re used to getting from you. I do more than just show up to feed and walk them, I show up to hang out, to play, to build trust, and to give them a new buddy while you’re away. Since I work remotely, your dog won’t be alone for long stretches of time. I’m home for the snuggles, the potty breaks, the play time, the weird little quirks that only dog people notice. I pay close attention to what helps each dog feel safe and settled, and I do my best to make sure they’re happy, relaxed, and loved while you’re gone. I currently have two dogs of my own (a miniature dachshund and a golden retriever, who stay with their ‘spare human’ if I am dog sitting in your home), so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone new. I don’t take that lightly. While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with cute photos, honest communication, and total transparency.. because that’s what I’d want too. For everyone’s safety, I require a meet and greet before confirming any bookings. This usually takes less than 15 minutes and is a really important step to establish trust between all parties! Katie was amazing! I was so afraid to leave Elvis at someone else's house/with someone he doesn't know but she gave my little guy the 5-star treatment and made sure he was comfortable the whole time! She asked great, thorough questions about his routine/any special needs/etc at the meet-and-greet which was a big green flag. She also sent lots of photos and updates during his stay, and made sure he had everything he needed before I dropped him off. Her pups were extremely friendly and got along great with Elvis, who can be quite shy at first. She has a beautiful, clean home with a nice big backyard that Elvis loved to hang out in. I will be using Katie for all future stays for Elvis and would 100% recommend (coming from an anxious dog mom!).

My dog had the best time staying with Katie! He loved her two dogs and clearly felt right at home. She was super sweet and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. I could tell he was happy, safe, and having fun. I think he was a bit sad to leave! Will absolutely book again!
Katie far exceeded any and all expectations, and was absolutely amazing with our pup!! She sent daily pictures and updates of our sweet boy. It was such a relief that I didn’t have to worry for a single minute while he was in Katie’s care. She also took incredible care of our home, and even went the extra mile to change the linens! We could not have been happier and with our experience and look forward to working with Katie again soon!
