I have my degree in Zoology and I have been in Animal Welfare for 9 years. I also have done volunteer work in Sumatra Indonesia, with wild orangutans and local dogs from the nearby villages. The Sumatran Dog Health Program provides dogs basic healthcare for the stray dogs in need. You can find more info about the Sumatran Dog Health Program on Facebook. Some of my pictures are of these dogs. I worked at Auckland Zoo in New Zealand as a zookeeper with primates, The Center for Great Apes as a great ape caregiver. I am also finishing my BA in wildlife conservation. I have had big and small dogs growing up. I love all breeds, we had Rotweillers growing up. I am well versed in dog breeds and dog / cat behavior. I have worked not only in zoos but I have experience in a boarding / doggie day care facility. Here we did walks, one on one play times, treats. I have also worked in a small pet veterinary office, as well as vetirinary care in a zoo setting. I am availble full time! weekends and holidays are a part of the job! I'm a birder and have the zoo experience to sit all feathered or scaly babies too. including Macaws!

I don't know anyone who loves animals more than Katie! With a background in zoology and experience caring for some of the largest animals on Earth, I cannot imagine anyone better suited to care for dogs and cats alike. I highly recommend Katie for her love of animals and for her open communication style.
Katie is awesome. She loves dogs, and they love her back. She's mature, smart and has many years working with pets- both in a residential area as well as in the work environment. I trust her with our pets hands down.

Schedule
I am currently working full time as a pet caregiver. i will be going to UWF in spring semester of 2022 and am looking for consistent work until then to save for tuition costs.
