Hi! My name is Katia, I am new to the rover app:)caring for dogs has been a big part of my life for almost a decade. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 18, and now at 27, I have years of experience understanding the different personalities, routines, and needs that make every dog unique. I’m also a proud dog mom to Apollo, my German Shepherd who has been by my side since high school, and Sierra, my sweet mixed breed rescue. Rescuing Sierra has made me especially passionate about giving dogs a safe, patient, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and cared for.

Safety, trust & environment

I prioritize making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, especially when they are in their own home. Since my dogs do not do well around unfamiliar animals, I will provide care exclusively in my client’s home, which also allows your pet to stay in the environment they already know and feel comfortable in. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, needs, and preferences so I can keep their care as consistent as possible. I’m very attentive to doors, gates, leashes, feeding instructions, medications if needed, and anything else that helps keep your pet safe.

Schedule

Pet care currently fits very easily into my daily and weekly routine because I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I’m currently between jobs, so I’m able to dedicate a significant amount of time and attention to caring for my clients’ pets. This allows me to be flexible with drop-ins, walks, house sitting, and different schedules depending on each pet’s needs.
