Bi-lingual dog lover in the east of Edinburgh
Hi, I'm Kathy. Born and raised in Peru, I grew up with dogs from an early age. My grandfather had five dogs on his farm and my own family owned an Old English Sheepdog, a Beagle and a Boxer. My brothers and I started a dog rescue centre for stray and abandoned dogs in the city of Cajamarca, offering medical care and a re-homing service. You could say dogs are close to my heart! I live with my husband and our six year old daughter. I miss my dogs and love to look after yours. Ideally, I am looking for friendly, sociable dogs to come and have some fun with my daughter and I.

Buddy was at Kathy’s for the weekend and he loved it as usual. He had a great time and loved running about with Kathy’s daughter. He was so excited to be going back and Kathy sends pictures and updates which we love getting.
This is the first time we have used Rover and we were very happy to have left our dog in the care of Kathy. She has a lovely home with a secure garden and she was attentive to his routine and needs. She sent several updates with pictures throughout his stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kathy and would happily leave our dog with her again.
Our dog seemed to have the best time with Kathy cause when it was time to come home, she didn't want to leave. The sign of a great sitter I think! Thanks again Kathy.
Our second stay with Kathy and she was as brilliant as always. Teddy ran straight into her house when we arrived and it was so clear that he was really happy to be there straight away! Kathy gave lovely updates of what they were up to and it was great to see how much he was being cared for. We will absolutely book Kathy again and would definitely recommend her to others.
Kathy is absolutely brilliant. I was nervous to leave our little Griffon as he hasn't been left many times before but she completely eased my mind with daily updates and photos of how Teddy how doing. She made us feel completely at ease and I think our little doggie particularly enjoyed tickles from Kathy's lovely daughter too! Would 100% recommend Kathy and we will definitely be using her again 🥰
Buddy had a brilliant time with Kathy and family again while we were at my son’s wedding. His first time of two nights staying and Kathy made sure he had a wonderful time with lots of lovely walks. I would definitely recommend Kathy.

Schedule
I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am usually able to meet all your drop off and pick requirements.

Safety, trust & environment
Our house has a spacious, fully enclosed garden and is close to my favourite walking areas, Craigmillar Castle Park and Portobello beach. There are also two large parks behind our house in Duddingston that are excellent for dog walking.
A typical day
I enjoy the outdoors and taking our daughter on walks, so your dog would be a welcome companion. I can give your dog the utmost attention when they come to stay with us.
