Growing up with multiple cats and raising two rescue tabbies of my own taught me that cats aren't 'just' low-maintenance pets—they have distinct personalities and communication styles. My approach to cat sitting includes: • Reading Them and the Room: I know when a cat wants playful interaction and when they are asking for space. I respect their cat-ness and don’t force cats into any interactions they don’t want to have. • Play & Enrichment: I use toys they like and games they find interesting and stimulating, and will ask you about what they like to do the most. • Routines and Cleanliness: I keep feeding, litterbox cleaning, and grooming to our agreed upon schedule and will make sure their space is maintained and clean while you are away. • Shy & Nervous Cats: I wait for your cats to set the tone, using patience, quiet companionship, and only the touch they prefer. I am happy to let them set the pace!
