With 20 years of pet experience, 7 years of animal shelter work, and countless experiences caring for neighbors’, coworkers’, high school teachers’, friends’, and family’s dogs and cats— I’m more than ready to meet your family pets and give them the best care they could have while you’re away. I am comfortable with administering oral medication upon request, walking dogs for any length of time or distance they’re accustomed to, and I even know how to use your Litter Gennie correctly! Being a lifetime pet owner, I know how stressful it can be to arrange and manage care for your pets while you’re away and how hard it can be on your pets when they miss you. That’s why I’m dedicated to being thorough, patient, understanding, and communicative with every client so that your pet gets everything they need from the comfort of their home and you get the comfort of knowing your pet is in great hands. The only difference they’ll notice is the person who’s there, and it’s important to me to make sure their environment and care are exactly what they need, even when you’re not there to provide it yourself.

While I am not able to board your pet in my own home, I’m happy to work with you on how best to care for them in your own home. I’ve been relied on by many people over many years to stay overnight in their homes to care for their pets, but your safety and comfort are important to me— so if daily visits are what you prefer or just a schedule walk time, I’m happy to discuss that too!

Kathryn was absolutely wonderful! She handled my 177 lb cane corso with ease. Kathryn was very communicative and gave me updates and pictures while I was gone. Would highly recommend and definitely hire again!
I was a bit nervous about using Rover for the first time, but Kathryn made the experience great. She stayed at my apartment and took care of both my dog and cat for four nights. My dog can be wary of new people, but Kathryn approached her with such ease and clearly had a lot of experience with animals. She was very responsive, sent lots of photos, and treated my pets with such kindness. Will definitely ask Kathryn to watch my animals again in the future :)

Katie and I volunteered together to provide care for county cats housed at PetSmart for hundreds of hours. I have also seen how she cares for her own cat, as well as dog sitting in private homes. Invariably, Katie provides thoughtful attention and safe care for any animal she is interacting with, considering their physical as well as emotional needs.

Schedule
I do work full-time, but I am available to stay with your pets overnight if needed and I’m happy to stay for a few hours each day if that’s the level of care you prefer. I’m happy to discuss any other potential scheduling questions for daily walking or daily visits upon request!
