My work schedule varies as I currently work full-time, with typical shifts falling between Monday–Saturday (8:30am–5:30pm) and Sunday (10am–4pm). However, I’m always happy to discuss your pet’s individual needs and come to an arrangement that works best for them. Whether your pet is comfortable with shorter periods alone or requires more companionship, walks, medication, or check-ins throughout the day, I’ll always be transparent about my availability and ensure they receive the care, attention, and routine they need to feel happy and secure.

Safety, trust & environment
My home provides a safe, clean, calm, and loving environment for your pet while they’re in my care. I live in a house with a fully enclosed and secure garden, giving dogs a safe outdoor space to enjoy. I will be the sole caregiver for your pet, allowing me to provide consistent attention, supervision, and routine throughout their stay. I’m experienced and comfortable caring for dogs with additional needs, including administering medication and following specific dietary requirements or schedules. Having a senior dog myself, I understand how important patience, gentle handling, and maintaining familiar routines can be. My Chihuahua, Milo, is very friendly and still enjoys his daily walks — whether that’s a shorter 20-minute stroll around the block or longer 50–60 minute walks around the Central Park loop, depending on your dog’s energy levels and needs. Your dog’s comfort and safety will always come first, which is why I strongly recommend a meet & greet before any initial booking. This helps ensure everyone gets along well and gives you complete confidence that your pet will feel happy, secure, and relaxed during their stay.

Information Kathryn T. would like to know about your pet
If there is anything specific you do or don't want your pet to do/have during their stay. As a dog owner myself I am very particular about what my dog is fed whilst not at home and would respect your requests for anything that will make sure your pet has a comfortable and stress free holiday!
A typical day
A typical day in my care is all about making your pet feel as comfortable, relaxed, and settled as possible by keeping their routine familiar and consistent. I understand how important routine can be for animals, especially when they’re away from home, so I’ll always aim to mirror their usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, toilet breaks, medication, and rest as closely as possible. For dogs, the day would usually begin with a morning toilet break and walk, followed by breakfast and some calm time to settle. Depending on your dog’s age, energy levels, and preferences, this could include anything from shorter gentle strolls to longer walks around the Central Park loop. Throughout the day, there will be plenty of opportunities for enrichment, affection, play, and relaxation — whether your dog enjoys playing with toys, exploring the garden, cuddling on the sofa, or simply having company nearby. I’m very mindful of each pet’s individual personality and needs. Senior dogs may prefer a quieter pace and extra comfort, while more active dogs may enjoy longer walks and more playtime. I’m also happy to accommodate specific instructions around training, dietary requirements, medication schedules, or sleep routines to help your pet feel completely at ease. Your pet will never just be “looked after” — they’ll be treated as part of the family during their stay, with lots of love, attention, and reassurance throughout the day. I also know how reassuring updates can be while you’re away, so I’m always happy to send regular photos and messages so you can see how your pet is getting on.

Pet care experience
I currently own a 14 year old male Chihuahua named Milo. Myself and my boyfriend live in a home near central park but also have a lovely secure garden. In November 2025, alongside working full time I have been providing dog/house sitting for a 13 year old Pekingese, 2 guinea pigs and chicken where I offer a high level of care, administer oral medicine and take care of eye treatment and I understand the importance of patience, routine, and attentive care — especially with senior dogs. I have really taken to enjoying looking after someone else's pets so I registered as self employed and have decided to pick up some Rover clients too! I have experience with owning my own dog, a rabbit when I was around 11, plus my grandparents had sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, and all manner of farm animals which I was happily involved in from a young age!
Reviews
Here’s your final, refined testimonial with walking, play, and stimulation worked in naturally while keeping a professional, personal tone: ⸻ Kathryn is a highly diligent and professional dog carer who consistently delivers an exceptional standard of care. She takes a thorough and considered approach to each dog’s wellbeing, covering everything from nutrition and supplementation to any medical needs, ensuring every detail is carefully managed. She understands that no two dogs are the same—not only in breed characteristics but also in personality—and adapts her care to suit each individual. Kathryn also places great importance on maintaining structured walking routines, engaging playtime, and providing the right level of mental stimulation, ensuring dogs remain happy, balanced, and well exercised. Just as importantly, she takes the time to listen to each client’s specific wants and expectations, recognising that a dog is not simply a pet, but a valued member of the family. This is reflected in the level of care, attention, and respect she provides. Whether offering drop-in visits or full live-in care, Kathryn delivers a reliable, flexible, and attentive service, giving complete peace of mind that your dog is in safe and capable hands.
