Caring for One Dog at a Time!
I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds!

Kathryn is the absolute best! I never worry about Myles when she has him.
Kathryn was phenomenal for our anxious, active pup! This was our first time using Rover, but Kathryn made the process easy and welcoming. We are so thankful we found Kathryn and cannot wait to book again!
Kathryn did a wonderful job with our dog - Chloey is quite an anxious dog and Kathryn was able to get her to feel comfortable with her. She sent us daily updates and helped us feel relaxed about leaving Chloey. Totally recommend Kathryn!
Kathy is so incredible with my dog Myles. She is attentive to his needs and very communicative with us. She will our go to and first choice whenever we need support for Myles.
Kathy was amazing with my dog Myles! We did two meet and greets prior to our dog's stay with Kathy and she send along regular updates with pics while we were away. So great to be able to go on vacation without worrying about our boy.
Kathy took excellent care of our dog and provided us with updates and pictures daily.

Programa
I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine!

I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.
Un día normal
I will not take your pet to any dog parks. I am unwilling to risk unfriendly interactions with other dogs. I will toss balls/other toys for the dogs in my backyard and for the smaller breeds who are not as excited to be outdoors, we'll play in my home. I ask pet owners to bring along their dog's favorite chew and play toys so they have that connection to their home, family and routine.
