I’ve cared for dogs and cats for over 25 years, including my own pets, foster animals, and pets belonging to friends, family, and Rover clients. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important trust is when someone else is caring for a member of your family. I currently care for a dog with epilepsy and have experience with medication schedules, special needs pets, senior pets, and recognizing when something seems “off.” I believe every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and preferences. Whether your pet wants to play, go for walks, receive belly rubs, or simply have a calm companion nearby, I adjust my care to fit their needs. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication throughout each visit so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.

Kathryn was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Zara. She provided detailed updates and lots of pictures during every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious she genuinely cared about Zara and spent quality time with her, not just feeding her and leaving. She even cleaned around the food area and brought in a package for me, which I really appreciated. Her notes were thoughtful, funny, and reassuring, and I could tell Zara became very comfortable with her. I would absolutely book Kathryn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter.

Schedule
Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. As a pet parent myself, my days revolve around feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for. I work full-time during the week, so weekday availability is typically early mornings and evenings. Weekends offer the most flexibility, and I may be able to accommodate occasional midday visits for nearby clients on a case-by-case basis.

A typical day is built around your pet’s normal routine. That may include potty breaks, feeding, walks, yard time, playtime, enrichment activities, rest, and medication if needed. I believe pets are most comfortable when their routines stay consistent, so I take the time to learn what makes your pet feel safe, happy, and comfortable. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower, quieter pace, I adjust my approach to fit their personality and needs. My goal is for your pet to feel cared for, relaxed, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you’re away.
