Care That Feels Like Family
I’ve always had a deep love for animals. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses, I developed a strong bond with animals from an early age. My passion for pet care led me to volunteer at a local veterinary clinic, where I learned the ins and outs of animal well-being. As an adult, I’ve always had both cats and dogs in my home, and I’ve been fortunate to care for friends' pets through referrals. When my husband and I moved to Okinawa, I expanded my pet care experience by boarding pets in our home, giving them a loving and comfortable environment while their families were away. After returning to the U.S. in 2019, we became active with Trusted Housesitters, where we've had the pleasure of looking after pets in homes across Arizona. Now that we've relocated to Portland, I’m excited to continue offering my pet-sitting services and provide your pets with the care and attention they deserve while you're away.

I’m comfortable with Ring and security cameras in all public areas of your home and can provide photo and video updates, as well as video calls, to keep you connected and reassured.

Kathryn was like a second “Mom” to our boy—-and sent us updates and pictures daily. We totally enjoyed our vacation worry-free because of Kathryn.
Kathryn provides great care for our dog, communicates timely and clearly, and attends to details like a package arriving early or a change in weather that makes a change in the outdoor watering schedule important. We come home to our home as we left it and a happy, well-cared for dog.
Kathryn took wonderful care of my cat while I was away. She provided great care, and I came home to a happy, well-loved cat. As an added bonus, Kathryn cleaned and organized my place before she left, which was such a pleasant surprise after traveling! This was the first time I used anyone other than a family member to watch my little Zoey, so I was a bit nervous. Had I known in advance how wonderful an experience it turned out to be, I would have done so much sooner. Kathryn was everything I could have wanted in a pet/house sitter. She was conscientious, thorough, professional and kind. She was an excellent communicator and took fabulous care of my little one, sending updates and photos throughout my absence. She left my house in better condition that I left it for her! I will definitely be using Kathryn in future for all of my pet sitting needs :-)
Kathryn takes stellar care of our beloved dog and home. We can rely on her to communicate daily updates, questions about our dog or our home, and relay any important information. We arrive home with our home as we left it, and happy, well cared for dog.

Schedule
I offer overnight sits in the Garden Home, Raleigh Hills, and West Slope neighborhoods, which is close enough to my work to allow for frequent potty breaks during the day when I'm working at the library. My work schedule is below: Sun & Mon: Available all day. Tue: Work 9:30a-6:00p, can provide potty breaks at 12p & 3p Wed & Thur: Work 12:00p-6:00p, can provide a potty break at 3p Fri & Sat: Work 11:00a-5:00p, can provide a potty break at 2p

- It's really important for me to know as much as possible about your pets ahead of time so I can provide the best care. Key details like their daily routines, favorite activities, dietary restrictions, and any special needs or health concerns are all helpful. I also like to know their temperament—whether they’re more independent or enjoy a lot of attention—and if there are any behaviors I should be aware of. Understanding their comfort zones, such as how they react to new people or changes in their environment, helps me create a stress-free and enjoyable experience for them while you're away.
