I want to be your pet’s buddy!
My family has had dogs since I was 5, around the same age when I started getting very into watching Animal Planet - most notably, It's Me or the Dog and Dogs 101. As a proud dog training enthusiast, I attended puppy school with our first dog Missy and later became trainer-in-chief of our second puppy at age 10, Sophie. Outside of our dogcentric home, my neighborhood was a dog community where I commonly had opportunities to interact with and care for dogs. Now at 26, I've moved away from home to Boston where I don’t have a pet and yearn for all of the dog love I grew up with! I'm someone with good animal instincts who can stimulate and entertain as well as be a soothing energy around dogs. I have a lot of experience familiarizing with new dogs and keying in on their behaviors and motivations, whether food-motivated, toy-motivated, etc. Looking forward to taking amazing care of your best friend(s) and home!

I'll care for your pet in your home with respect and patience as a new person entering your pet's environment! I'll provide lots of outdoor time in the form of walks and play, and other mental stimulation for your pet when indoors. A tired dog is a good dog! I'd love to cuddle with your pet as much as they'd like - but also happy to give them space as they prefer. I consider myself a tidy, mindful person and will leave your home better than I found it.

Kathryn was great! This is the first time that we have used Rover. We had an event and we could not bring our dog, Lulu. Kathryn arrived on time, kept our anxiety prone dog calm, and took her for a walk, too. I would definitely hire Kathryn, again. Thank you very much.

Schedule
I work a full-time, M-F engineering job and am not currently able to make weekday daytime walks or drop-ins work. Weekday evenings I’m available! Walks - I have availability on Weekends and Monday/Tuesday evenings (after work) to schedule walks! House stays - I am able to work from home Fridays, and could make staying Thursday nights into Friday work (working from your home as necessary on Friday or stopping by for a potty break). Weekends I can be at your home as much as you'd like!

- Please let me know how your dog does around adults, kids, and other dogs so I can be mindful and plan our activities accordingly! Knowing what things may trigger your dog to chase on walks and if an off-leash dog park would be a good idea would be helpful - although if I'm ever unsure what's suitable for your pet, I'll ask first! Generally knowing how your dog acclimates to new people would also be helpful as we first meet, so I can be respectful of their boundaries.
