Active, young, dog-loving couple!
Both Josh and Katie love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and stages. After growing up with dogs, we can’t imagine not having them in our life together. We frequently open our home to dogs in the foster care system, ranging in ages from 8 week puppies to 9 year old seniors. We are both incredibly active and love walking & running together with a dog in tow. We can’t wait to meet your pup!

I always keep dogs on a leash when we are outside as we live in an apartment and do not have a fenced yard. I keep the dog safe when interacting with other dogs or pets (if okay with owner). We live in an apartment and keep doors closed of rooms that the dog should not be going into. We have high countertops in our kitchen which is nice when we have a dog around. We usually keep the dog’s kennel on the hard wood of our kitchen, but with anxious animals will keep the kennel in our room close to us. Dogs are allowed on furniture in our apartment, we love snuggling with them! We have a balcony, but do not let dogs out there without supervision. We have a 10ft long short wire gate to section off our apartment if dogs do better on hardwood vs carpet. We are willing to share human food (peanut butter, meat, marshmallows, cheese) with the approval of the dog’s owner.

Katie and Josh were absolutely fantastic dog sitters. They were great communicators, so friendly, and incredibly patient and kind with my anxious Pomeranian. I felt totally at ease knowing she was in such caring, attentive hands. I can’t recommend them enough and will definitely be using them again!
Our pup was comfortable with Katie right away. When we got back, he was relaxed and happy. She also reached out with appropriate questions which gave us peace of mind that he was being well cared for. Would definitely hire Katie again.
Katie is absolutely amazing with my dog. She gives her so much love and attention, and I always feel confident knowing she is in great hands with her. She’s very attentive and seems to know exactly what he needs, whether it’s playtime, comfort, or extra care. I can tell she truly cares about animals, and my dog is always happy and relaxed after spending time with her. I highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter or walker!
Katie is a consummate professional, ontime, incredible communicator and most attentive dog care provider we have enjoyed. We had Katie and her friend Josh stay with our two Labrador retrievers, Hazel and Frances and the dogs wouldn’t leave their sides when we got back to town: always the best indicator is when the dogs love the sitters. All of our dogs needs were taken care of and we welcome Katie and Josh back anytime. We enjoyed their safe care of our home and our pets.

Schedule
We keep our daily/weekly routine flexible allowing us to host a dog in our home. Both of us work full time, but Katie’s job is hybrid so she can be home as frequently as necessary for certain pet sitting situations. Occasionally, Katie has meetings in the office so she will go in for a half day if necessary. Katie works out in the morning before work, Josh usually opts for an evening run after work. We spend time in our apartment in the evening just us or with friends, so plenty of time and attention for puppy love!
