I am very compassionate by nature, preferring compromise to confrontation. Animals, in my experience, respond to gentle, but firm, interactions. I have seen first-hand a more forceful approach to discipline, and our dog would respond to me before them. I have had dogs (and animals in general) for as long as I can remember. They calm me. I love how, no matter how rough a day I’m having, petting a puppy makes my worries disappear. I'm currently a Board and Train, Dog Trainer and absolutely love my job. I have experience with the initial stages of obedience (sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, ect) through more advanced basic behaviors (basics with distance & distractions as well as heel & wait). Long-term, I really want to continue enjoying what I do. I can’t imagine anything more perfect than getting to play with puppies all day. My goal is to eventually start my own training business.

Charlie has never been boarded and we tried boarding him a month ago with a local dog boarding facility, unfortunately he did not do well, was sad for days after picked him up and took 3 days before he wagged his tail again. Kathryn has done an excellent job trying to get to know our anxious dog and help get him ready for our extended trip away from him. We arranged a meet and greet at a park and then scheduled a doggy daycare afternoon so that he can familiarize himself with his upcoming in-home boarding.
She did great! Everything was perfect when we got home, dogs loved her! Will book again.

From the very first time she met my two cats, they instantly fell in love with her and I knew she was the only one I could trust to love and care for Ellie and Pebble when i'm traveling. Schedule
I currently Board and Train dogs at home. I do a lot of the beginning training at the house before making trips out and about. Currently, the only day of the week the might be interesting is Sunday, due to pick up and turnover lessons for training dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced in backyard that has been secured. I do crate all dogs at night and while I’m not home for their safety as well as other dogs safety. They take turns on coming out to play, lounge and go for walks daily. I’m also available for walking and making sure that any training you may have put in stays maintained. I would also love to stop by to check in on your dogs, cats, chickens or even goats to ensure that they are happy, fed and, of course, safe.
Pets
A typical day
We go for walks daily around the neighborhood and if they’re good on a leash we might even make a trip out to a nearby park. We’ll take advantage of the large backyard for midday play sessions and come in to hangout for pets and possibly even a good brushing.

- I just need to know a few things for safety. Are they currently up to date on all of they’re vaccinations? (Will need to see vaccination invoice from a veterinarian, but feel free to block out your address.) Do they have any allergies, food or environmental, that you’re aware of? Are they currently taking any medications? Have they ever escaped, or attempted to escape by digging, jumping or climbing a fence? Have they ever bitten a person or dog?
