Pet care is something I’ve naturally built into my weekly routine. Since moving to Richmond about a year ago and leaving my two dogs back home, I’ve really missed that daily connection with animals. Walking dogs has been the perfect way to stay active while still getting that time with furry companions. I regularly walk dogs for my neighbors, so I’m already used to planning my schedule around consistent walks and giving each dog dedicated attention. It’s something I genuinely look forward to each week—it doesn’t feel like a task, but more like a highlight of my day. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to fit walks into my routine in a way that works best for both you and your pup.

I will provide attentive, personalized care based on each pets routine and personality, whether I’m in my client’s home or caring for them on a walk. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, affection, and supervision, while sticking closely to any instructions the owner provides regarding feeding, leash use, or behavior preferences.
Information Kathryn G. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to understand their routine and personality so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. It’s helpful to know their energy level, temperament, and how they typically behave on walks or around other dogs. I also like to know any specific instructions—such as feeding schedules, leash preferences, commands they respond to, or any habits I should be aware of. Health considerations, allergies, or sensitivities are always important, as well as anything that might make them anxious or excited. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible and provide a positive experience, so the more I know ahead of time, the better I can care for them like they’re my own.
A typical day
I love making sure every pet has a great time while I’m with them! Depending on the pet’s energy level and personality, I like to mix in a variety of fun activities. For more active pets, that can include long walks, exploring new routes, playing fetch, or just letting them enjoy plenty of time outside to burn off energy. The same goes for cats. For more relaxed or older pet’s, I’m happy to keep things low-key with gentle walks, cuddle time, and calm companionship. I also enjoy incorporating a bit of playtime with toys, basic commands or reinforcement if they’re used to it, and lots of positive attention and praise. No matter what, my goal is to make sure each pet feels happy, comfortable, and engaged while giving them something to look forward to during our time together—whether that’s an adventure outside or just some quality one-on-one time.

Pet care experience
I moved to Richmond about a year ago, which meant leaving my two pups back home with their dad. As rural, born-and-bred dogs, city life just wasn’t the right fit for them. So now, I’m filling that gap by spending time with other people’s furry friends! I’ve become the go-to dog walker for my neighbors, and I genuinely love it—it gives me my weekly dose of wagging tails and happy walks. I’d love the chance to walk your dog and give them the care, attention, and exercise they deserve.
