Hello, I’m Kat. I LOVE Dogs!!! I have worked professionally with dogs my entire life. I am a private dog groomer, trainer, caretaker and I specialize in off leash hikes on our private trails. Leashes are also welcome as needed. Guest dogs stay in the house with me and my two fun loving and respectful dog pals and are treated like family. We send regular photo updates so you can be assured your dog is having a wonderful time.

Kathryn was professional and personable. She made us feel safe while we were away and when we came home, the dogs were full of joy. I highly recommend her to anybody who wants personal attention with their pups.
First time for our 8 yr. old standard poodle to stay with Kat. She bent over backwards to make him comfortable. He gets stressed and won’t eat much when boarding. Kat hand fed him his kibble! Are you kidding me??!! She texted frequent updates and even a photo or two. She is very pleasant, flexible, and easy to work with. Very knowledgeable about dog behaviors. Highly recommend!
Ours is not the easiest dog, but Kat handled her like a pro. Everything about the experience was flawless. I look forward to using her services again
Kathryn was great and super easy to get in contact with! I made a request the week before and since there aren’t too many available rovers in her area, I was so thankful to have her take in our dog. She asked very thoughtful questions and made Lucy feel very comfortable - she’s worked with dogs in the past as a groomer and caretaker so it was easy to trust her. She also sent us photos to keep us updated throughout the stay. Furthermore she went out of her way to meet up with us halfway when we wanted to pick Lucy up. Kathryn was wonderful with our dog Sesame during our weekend trip to Sea Ranch. She was communicative, flexible, and clearly experienced with dogs. Hers were calm and respectful, which made Sesame feel at ease. She even met us around town so we could take Sesame on some daytime adventures, which we really appreciated. We’d absolutely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable sitter!
Kathryn rocks! She literally went the extra mile for Cedar- driving to easier pick up and drop off spots. She’s kind, considerate and great with dogs.

Schedule
I mostly work from home, there are days when I need to be away but never for more than four hours. We do a daily four mile hike, off-leash, though leashes are welcome also.

Safety, trust & environment
Guest dogs are treated like family. I’ve got two fun-loving and respectful dogs who are accustomed to guests. It’s a dog party everyday! We do a daily four mile off-leash hike, which of course can be leashed as necessary. For the most part all the dogs go with me on trips to town etc. Guests usually bring a crate for their private sleeping den. Guests bring their own food. I liberally utilize yummy treats to encourage great behavior. Pet parents can be assured that I have decades of experience in dog handling including vet experience and I am great at noticing the small things with dog health and behavior. My clients quickly become extended family!

A typical day
Mornings are for a leisurely breakfast and playtime. Afternoons we go on an hourlong off-leash hike on our private trails, then enjoy a nice leisurely nap before dinner and a relaxing evening. It’s a dog’s life and we love it!
