While I'm new to Rover, I’ve been lovingly pet sitting since my teens and have raised high-energy working breeds my entire life. In my own home, I currently balance a fun-loving, high-octane adolescent dog and a sweet, gentle senior, so I truly understand and adore dogs of all life stages! I provide a warm, predictable environment where your pup can relax, feel safe, and know exactly what to expect. Kathryn has looked after our dog when we were out of town. She did an amazing job. She sent updates when requested. Our dog was exhausted with how much fun they had. She is an amazing dog sitter and fantastic person. I would highly recommend her and will use her again.

Schedule
I am currently off for the summer and at home all week. I am available year round for weekends and holidays. I have two dogs of my own that I care for daily. After breakfast has settled in our tummies we go out for walks. We have regular play and naps throughout the day. After dinner lots of snuggles and tv. The dogs sleep in the room with us on their beds. When I got my male dog last year as a puppy, I rebuilt our home schedule to be around caring for him.

Safety, trust & environment
For boarding or daycare: I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep yours company. I can crate your dog at night if preferred or they can sleep on a bed. I separate all dogs for meal times to prevent resource guarding. I have toys available for play that are regularly washed. Dogs are allowed on couches and in the downstairs during the day. They are allowed upstairs in our bedroom with the door shut at night with us. I will walk and play with them if you want. I have space in the fridge/freezer for fresh or raw food. I can give medications. For dog-walking: I will walk your dog with mine on leashes for your preferred distance or time in the morning or evening. I am experienced with handling leash-reactivity.

A typical day
I am able to provide physical exercise and mental stimulation through a variety of activities, including exercise, play with a ball or tug toy, and playing enrichment games. I run with my own dog so if yours likes to run, they can come along too. We will go on Sniffari to enjoy the neighborhood. I give frequent cuddles and snuggles as well as verbal reassurance. We have quiet time before, and after meals to let everyone’s tummy settle.
