I work at home for a software company and have flexible hours, so I’m able to take the time out of my day to walk my dog, Franklin, and any visiting dogs for multiple walks. I have several routes that I walk including a 10 minute walk around our cul-de-sac and 20 minute route around several blocks and Cushing Park just 10 minutes away. I love to give my dog time to stop and sniff along the way as I think this is important to his overall well-being.

I would take your dog and Franklin out mid-morning, lunchtime, and mid afternoon. Franklin is not fussy about when he goes out, so I can certainly cater to a visiting dog.

Information Kathleen S. would like to know about your pet
My dog Franklin, a golden retriever, would get along famously with a small or large dog. He has lots of experience playing with other dogs. We have a gated area on the deck, but we do not have a gated area in the backyard. When we are playing out back, I would keep your dog safely on a long leash and run along with him/her.
A typical day
I love to keep dogs engaged, so I go out for frequent walks, or as I call them “sniffing walks” where I allow dogs to sniff as much as they want. I have a beautiful deck overlooking the water with a dog gate so they can enjoy fresh air along with my dog Franklin. I have a couple of dog board games that are mentally stimulating. I play calming dog music when they take their naps.

Pet care experience
I have a very sociable and gentle golden retriever, Franklin,, and he would love to have a dog visit us for daycare. He is very good with small and large dogs.My compassion and kindness sets me apart as I strive to give my dog and any dog visitors a safe and fun environment. Franklin has his own couch that he is allowed to sleep on and he would welcome a dog visitor to sit or take naps. He is not territorial.
Reviews

Kathy was great with Comet. She sent lots of pictures and gave him lots of treats and love. And Franklin was an excellent host too. Kathy was very communicative and asked lots of questions before we met, making us feel safe leaving Comet there. We would absolutely use her again!

Kathleen was great! Very responsive, very respectful of my instructions, and her house was clean and nice in a walkable neighborhood. Her golden is very sweet and was great with my little dachshund.
We are beyond grateful for the amazing care Kathy gave our two mini doxies, Cash and Remi. We needed last minute help for two nights, and she stepped in without hesitation and treated our pups like her own. Cash and Remi were so happy and comfortable that they didn’t even want to come home. After coming home, they slept for three straight days from all the fun and love they received! It gave us complete peace of mind knowing they were in such caring, attentive hands. We couldn’t recommend her more highly and will absolutely be booking again.
I have known Kathy for many years and she is a reliable and caring person. As an experienced dog owner herself, she has a good understanding of dogs’ needs, behavior, and how to care for them. Kathy has always been patient, responsible, and compassionate with her sweet dog, and I know she would bring those same qualities to caring for other dogs. Her love for animals shines through, and I’m sure any dog would be lucky to spend time in her home.
