I work from home and have a home logo apparel business so I am home much of the time. Your pet will rarely be left alone. Our kids are grown so our pups and your will be our babies. But not to worry I believe in lots of loving, endless tummy rubs with firm boundaries.

Home: Are you looking for a clean, safe, and calm environment? I have a clean wood floor home with lots of room to run indoors. I also have a large unfinished open basement to play and still stay cool during summer or warm on those extra cold days of winter. YARD: I have a large grassy yard with a 6 ft. privacy fenced yard. It is a lovely yard with tree and a nice view for your pups overlooking a walking trail and waterway so there's always something interesting for your pup to see. Lexi & Luna will often sit our under the tree watching the people, squirrels, and cars go by. If offers them many hours of entertainment and relaxation.

Schedule: I am generally up by 6:30, morning: first potty break and then breakfast. Yard playtime. Water break. Puppy snacks, followed by rest and relaxation indoors. Then noon potty break, again followed by playtime, water break, & rest. I can do light basic obedience refreshers in the afternoon before dinner and an evening walk on the trail. The schedule is flexible and you can let us know what works best for your pet.

Aloha! I'm Kathleen Richmond Our last child is graduating this year and and received an appointment to a US Service Academy for the Coast Guard. Our daughter is 21 and is studying at Kansas State University in the Commercial Pilot program. I have over 30 years of experience in loving and training dogs. Now we are empty nesters and have more time to spend with our favorite hobby, loving pets! I have 2 German Shepherds of our own, Lexi is 11 and Luna is 2. Both dogs are Certified AKC Canine Good Citizens. Lexi has been an amazing foster mom/pal for over a dozen dogs & puppies of all ages. She teaches them by her example how to be calm and how to behave. Lexi received top honors in basic and advanced obedience. Luna is our rambunctious youngster playmate who will adore playing with any dog that will play with her. She also graduated Basic Obedience and is starting Scenting and Tracking classes. Boundaries & Rules: I will work with you adhere to your rules & boundaries. I will work with your pup on basic obedience if needed. I call it lifestyle training. How to be a good member of the household. Kennel: If you would like to bring your own kennel that is great, I have 5 kennels of various sizes. I disinfect and clean them after each visitor leaves. Experience: I have over 30 years of experience and have had a mix of pups - Kaycie, small mixed terrier, Hooties mixed Lab, Zoe an Airedale Terrier, and finally our 2 GSD's. Currently, I just have 2 GSD's. We fostered pups in Hawaii with the Hawaiian Humane Society, and then after moving to Kansas I have worked with the local German Shepherd rescue for about 5 years. I have fostered over 20 amazing dogs during that time. I have had puppies, sick and injured dogs, Seniors, and even dogs that were fear aggressive, I worked with them for up to 9 months rehabbing them, loving them and training them so that they could become adoptable members of families. All were adopted into wonderful homes and I still keep in touch with many of the adopters. I love to see their doggies birthday parties, camping trips on the lake, boating trip and more. I have dealt with reactivity, fear of all kinds of things, flight risks, and more. With time and love all things are possible. Location: I aam conveniently located in a lovely and safe Oak Park Neighborhood cul-de-sac off of 103rd & Quivera. Very close to the 435, 35, and 69 highway.

My Bella dog loves Kathleen’s house!
I cannot recommend Kathleen enough! I found her last minute, and from the moment we arrived, her calm and reassuring presence put both me and our pup Sammy completely at ease. Every photo she sent of Sammy had her grinning from ear to ear!! She didn’t just watch her; she truly cared, played with her, and ensured she was happy and loved throughout. Kathleen is a gem, and I feel so lucky to have found her. If you want someone who treats your pup like family, she’s the one! 🐾💛
This was my first time using Rover and I was thrilled with Kathleen as a dog sitter. I took my very high energy Wheaten Terrier to her home. Kathleen was very communicative and sent me pictures of my dog playing and napping. I can tell my dog had a great time as she was totally exhausted! I highly recommend Kathleen and will use her service again.
Thank You so much for sitting with Barney for 6 hours. He is 7 months old and never been home alone before. I was very nervous about leaving him but Kathleen couldn’t have been more reassuring! She answered all my concerns and questions before the visit.She sent many pictures of Barney’s activities inside, outside and interacting with the other dogs and Kathleen’s family.i feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful caregiver for my dog baby. I will definitely use Kathleen again💕❤️💕
