I live in a beautiful country setting in Becket, MA. I have 9 acres of woods on a secluded private dirt road. It is doggy heaven here! 1 acre is fully fenced in. Dogs are free to have use of the whole house. They have access to couches, dogs beds or the big king size human bed. I call this luxurious boarding! 😃 I am home full time which can bring ease and a sense of peace to dogs and their owners. I always have dogs here which, in my experience, helps new dogs to adjust quickly in a new setting. I keep dogs stimulated with outdoor time, daily walks or hikes, interactive toys, treats, cuddles and love 🩷 I have been dog sitting for 12 years now and have a tremendous amount of experience with all types of dogs. Pure breed, mutts, shelter dogs, special needs, elderly, puppies, shy and more. Every dog is special even with their quirks, just like us humans. I will treat your dogs the way I would want someone to treat mine. I am professional, a good communicator and you will receive written updates with photos of your dogs daily.

Kathleen's communication was terrific. She was attentive to my dog's needs and sent wonderful photos and videos. I was initially concerned because she said that she accepted up to ten dogs at a time but it quickly became apparent that she worked one on one with each dog to make sure they were comfortable and happy. I would definitely book with Kathleen again. She is truly a "dog whisperer".
My husband and I dropped our 7 year old Havanese off with Kathleen on August 27 and 28. Hayden(our dog) has some separation issues and I was a little worried. But, from the moment we arrived, Kathleen sensed this, picked her up and took her to meet the other dogs. We drove off to see Hayden running in the yard, happy and relaxed. We returned to find her calm and tired out and we happily dropped her off on day 2. Kathleen exudes a calm and caring presence. She comfortably managed 5 or 6 dogs, some of which were there for daycare, some were boarders. Her fenced in property allows the dogs to run and play. And, many, like Hayden hung out on her large covered porch. Kathleen communicated with us sending a video and several photos. In a word: FANTASTIC. Kathleen is caring and adjusts her care to your dog’s needs. (My dog Rose, is a 6.5 year old 45 pound standard poodle.). Kathleen communicates well and kept me fully informed about my dog’s picky eating habit. (My dog ate better with Kathleen than she does at home.) You cannot appreciate the boarding facility until you visit Becket. The house is lovely with numerous happy dogs running about, playing and relaxing inside and out. From my observation, the place looked remarkably clean and orderly. The woods surrounding the house are lovely and with an acre of fenced in fields and forest. Kathleen is warm, intelligent and wants your pet to enjoy its vacation. I have the highest praise and appreciation for the home away from home Kathleen provided my beloved dog.

We are so lucky to have found Kathleen! She took such great care of Jackson while we were away. She has a wonderful property and a warm, welcoming home for dogs. We truly appreciated the daily updates with photos and videos. Jackson already misses her and his new bow-wow friends!
Kathleen was great with Sadie. She attended to her needs and gave her plenty of adventures. Highly recommended!

Schedule
This is my full time job. And I absolutely love it. Surrounding yourself with dogs daily is a dream come true for me. Unlike regular kennels, my doggy daycare / boarding is a home environment and that's what makes dogs happy and cozy when they stay here.

A typical day
I love taking dogs into the woods for a nice long hike. I also love a leashed walk around the neighborhood. I have really great spots. If your dog is not so adventurous, we can stick around happily at home. I also 1 acre fenced in which is great for relaxing in the sun, relaxing in the shade on the porch, playing with other dogs, throwing a ball etc.

- 1. Your dogs must have tick protection. 2. Your dogs must be 100% potty trained. This includes marking indoors in new places. If your dog tends to mark their territory inside new homes - please do not board them in my home. My home is very clean and I like to keep it that way for humans and all dogs coming and going.
