I have 2 cats and love dogs
I grew up with labs and retrievers but now live alone with my 2 cats (who are pretty much used to dogs, but still wary of them). I watch peoples dogs and foster with Saving Grace when I can so have experience with a wide range of dogs.

She was very flexible with us when our flight got delayed and was very responsive. Sent lots of pictures and kept me updated the whole time.
Katie was amazing!!! Took such good care of my sweet but anxious little Sophie. Sent me updates and photos everyday and I felt like I had left my girl in really safe hands. I would absolutely work with Katie again!

Kathleen was mostly highly communicative for the stay, and was flexible when we had a scheduling miscommunication, which I greatly appreciated. When we went to pick up she was hard to get a hold of and we waited a while, and My dog’s fur smelled badly when he came back from her cats, but a bath fixed it. We were also clear about not boarding him with other dogs, and she had an overlap with another dog that was not agreed.

Kathleen provided excellent care for out 3 yr old lab mix dog. Our dog has never been away from us and we were nervous but Kathleen kept us updated with frequent photos and updates. She was an excellent communicator who did an excellent job with our high energy sometimes needy dog. They spent the weekend doing frequent walks, playing fetch and going out and about. Our pup was good and tired after a weekend at Kathleen's house. I could tell by the photos that our dog became comfortable really quickly with Kathleen. Kathleen has great instincts when it comes to interpreting the needs of dogs. I would highly recommend her services. She was available, communicative, and was very prompt and prepared for drop off and pick up. We will certainly seek out her services again. Thank you for a great weekend, Kathleen!!!

I am an engineer but am taking time off from that job. One favorite thing to do with a dog I watch is taking them to my building’s fenced in private dog walk and playing fetch!

I have a large dog crate if that is better for sitting/boarding but only if that is part of their normal routine. Pets are allowed on the furniture (also if normal) and since I have pets already, I have extra water around the apartment. Since I’m used to hosting dogs, I’m good at “cat proofing” the apartment and my unit has a good layout to separate the cats and the visiting pet if needed. I choose how to take out any dog based on their personality: dog walk at my apartment building, walks, local dog park, hikes, etc. I also have plenty of dog toys.

I tailor what I do to what is best for the dog, either playing inside, going on a walk, going to the dog park, etc. When on walks, I typically stay in downtown but I am also happy to go on a more nature hike.
