Availability
I work two days in office and three remote, which gives me lots of flexibility to watch your pets. Tuesdays are the only days typically completely booked for me. When I am working remotely, I have plenty of flexibility to go for walks or have playtime. In Baltimore city, I can either come by for pet care or board- whichever you prefer. Outside of Baltimore city, I would prefer to board if you are gone for multiple days to cut down on travel time, but am happy to discuss further.

I have a fairly small apartment, so I would only be able to host smaller animals. I do have some good areas to walk dogs around, but I do not have a yard. I generally do pet care in the home of the pet, but I realize sometimes emergencies come up and you need someone to host for a short period of time- if you are in that situation, I can definitely help you.

Anything that you can share is helpful for me to know! Preferred eating and walking times are important, as are any safety concerns (for example, avoid a certain house/yard on walks, don’t let dog come into contact with smaller dogs, etc). Even small things- an animal likes the lights on or off, loves/hates background noise, is afraid of the garbage truck- are good for me to know! Of course, please keep me informed on any medication, dietary needs, or special behaviors.
A typical day
If a pet is happy, I am happy, so I like doing what the pet’s favorite activities are. We might go to the dog park and throw a ball, or go for a stroll around the neighborhood and play tug of war at home.

Pet care experience
When I moved to Baltimore in late 2023, I found myself missing all the dogs in my life. Signing up for Rover is one way I’ll be making up for that! My family has had golden retrievers and a 92 pound rescue mix. I’ve also taken care of other dogs big and small, and am happy to follow any special instructions unique to your pet. For cats, I have experience sitting for households with multiple cats, and am happy to watch cats and dogs at the same time if your household has that need.

Kathleen was great! She house sat my pup Sadie last minute and communicated just the right amount, sent great pictures, and left the home looking untouched! She was very flexible and I appreciate her double checking on things before leaving the home. My small dog can sometimes feel anxious after she has a sitter, but Sadie was happy and calm when I returned from my trip so I know Kathleen did a great job. I definitely am very appreciative and will book again!!
