I work from home and so I have a lot of flexibility on weekdays for drop-ins and/or walks. I have the most availability on weekends if you go out of town and want someone to stop by multiple times to check on your pet.

When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, or simply spending quality time with your pet. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while you’re away. I also understand that I’m a guest in your home. I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect that I would my own.

Before I care for your pet, I’d love to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and any medications or medical needs. It’s also helpful to know how they interact with new people, other animals, any fears or anxieties they may have, and any house rules you’d like me to follow. The more I know about your pet’s personality and routine, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
A typical day
Every pet has their own personality, so I like to tailor activities to what they enjoy most. For dogs, that might mean neighborhood walks, playing fetch or tug, practicing simple commands with treats, or just getting plenty of time to sniff and explore. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with toys, laser pointers, feather wands, or simply giving them attention and cuddles if they’re the affectionate type. My goal is to keep your pet active, engaged, and comfortable while maintaining their normal routine.

Kathleen was great with Nova -an immeasurable help. She easily developed a bond with Nova, calmed the high energy, covered a lot of ground in a half-hour walk. Nova shortly began perching on the sofa every morning with her head toward the door, watching for Kathleen.
Kathy was prompt, connected with our dog right away:). She knows the Neighborhood, the walk was great - Dog panting happily!
Kathleen absolutely loves animals and is always one of the first persons people reach out to pet sit for them! Would trust her with my animals and their needs any time!
Kathleen has been an excellent caretaker for my cat! On many occasions in the last few years, she has cared for him over periods as short as one night and as long as 10 days. She is excellent in all the technical ways - following care instructions (including cleaning the litter box) and being on time - and is conscientious towards providing photos and updates that reveal real care for my cat. I have no hesitation trusting Kathleen with the care of my cat and will definitely call upon her again and recommend her to my friends - and their cats and dogs!
