Your pet's well-being = my priority
I've cared for friends' and neighbors' pets for 15+ years. I ensure their necessities are taken care of (food, water, walks, etc.) but I also love to stay longer to take the time to play for their mental engagement (and mine!) when possible. My own late beloved dog lived to be nearly 16, so I'm also comfortable with providing prescription meds and taking more time/patience to respect aging pets. I can handle multiple pets at one time or younger pets, too.

Safety, trust & environment
I respect house rules! If any rooms are off limits or there's a specific diet/walk schedule, I try to enforce that with your pets. My late dog and I had success when sticking to our schedule and I'll make every effort to stick to yours. I'm a frequent communicator, so if any issues arise you'll know right away! If all is well, you'll get a text and several photos of your furry friend before I leave. I try to avoid bringing dogs to dog parks/exercise areas in apartment complexes unless I see that there are absolutely no other dogs present. I will also never take your dog off their leash on a walk, even if they are trained to do so. Even if your pet is superbly trained, there's no way for me to guarantee that other dogs are equally well-behaved, especially any unleashed dogs with whom I am unfamiliar. Your pet's safety is a top priority and I will gladly take them on a leashed walk instead to get them their exercise. Summary below of what I typically provide for each type of visit. House sit routines often differ with each pet and their unique routines, so if you have any additional needs or asks, I will work with you in advance to determine a great schedule and modify any payment details within the Booking, if necessary and agreed upon. 30 min Drop-in visit (cat): + Feeding (refill feeders, provide canned food, etc.) + Refill water + Scoop litter boxes + Provide any oral or topical medications + Play time with toys, treats, etc. if enough time remains 30 min Drop-in visit (dog): + Feeding + Refill water bowls + Provide any oral or topical medications + Play time with toys, treats, games, if enough time remains after food/water/potty/meds + Quick potty walk of ~5 minutes. If you think your dog will need longer, please book a Walk separately or a 60 minute Drop-in Visit. I always pick up poop, please provide your own bags and let me know where best to dispose of the baggies! House Sit (cat): + Feeding/water fill twice a day + Scoop litter boxes twice a day + More time for play! + Option to stay overnight at your place with your pet. + Option to complete several, longer visits throughout the day without staying overnight. House Sit (dog): + Feeding/water fill twice a day + At least 3 walks (am, noonish, pm) + More time for play! + Option to stay overnight at your place with your pet. + Option to complete several, longer visits from morning to evening without staying overnight in your home.

Thank you, Kathleen!!! My goofy girl Jolene and my home were meticulously cared for while I was gone for a few days! I will absolutely be booking Kathleen again in the future. I can leave knowing that I will come home to a very happy dog and a clean home, and I am so incredibly grateful for that.
Kathleen was fantastic! I was nervous about leaving my newly adopted babies for the long weekend but Kathleen took away any and all anxiety with continued updates and communication. Sent “proof of life” pictures which were adorable. Will absolutely be booking with her again!
Very accommodating and willing to work with my anxious little guy to set up a plan to get him comfortable with her to watch him in the future, even after his not so polite greeting to her!
Kathleen was hands down the best! We will be using her services again and hopefully keeping her as a permanent housesitter when she's available.

Schedule
I work full-time, so my Tues-Fri availability is typically limited to a morning and evening visit with the possibility of a noon visit if close by. Sat-Mon is typically all open! Holidays are also usually open.

- The more information owners can share with me, the better the experience will be. I'm a big fan of written instructions, steps, and contact information. Having this information in advance will ensure peace of mind for both you and me, and a stress free routine for your pets. For house sits especially, please let me know your expectations, including the amount of walks per day, maximum amount of time away from a pet, etc. It's not unusual for me to run errands or meet up with friends elsewhere on weekends, so I will not be at your house for all daylight hours. I will of course make sure your pet is taken care of before I do so, however. For puppies or pets that do require more constant care, I'll work with you as the owner to determine the appropriate care schedule and then modify my base house sit rates accordingly.
