Caring Dog Mom (w/ cat exp!)
Ever since childhood, my family has had cats, laying the foundation for my lifelong love for animals. Oscar and Casper, who have since passed away, came into our lives from the Greenbelt Animal Shelter. In 2020, I finally convinced my dad to let me adopt a dog, and my excitable pandemic pup, Kahlua, joined our family from K-9 Lifesavers, a rescue organization based in VA. After becoming a dog parent, I quickly immersed myself in "human training" -- participating in training classes at Petco and Your Dog's Friends in Rockville. I learned to understand dog body language, worked to socialize her with humans and other animals, and even taught her a few fun tricks at home. Currently, Kahlua and I live in College Park, MD, with a fenced backyard and sunny back deck perfect for lounging. While I'm happy to come to your house for drop-in care, I'm also available for full day care here at my house. Kahlua is always eager to make new friends, and there is plenty of space to accommodate separate spaces as well.

Safety, trust & environment
As a pet parent, I understand the anxieties that comes with entrusting someone else with your baby, and prioritize safety above all else. I have the College Park Animal Hospital, Rocky Gorge 24/7 Emergency Animal Hospital, and ASPCA Poison Control Hotline numbers saved in my phone in case of emergency, and will treat your baby with the same love and vigilance as my own.

Kathleen did a very great job caring for our cat, Stella. She was respectful of our home, asked questions when needed, and exceeded our expectations.
Kathleen has helped care for both my cat (when I'm out of town) and my dog (when I'm at work) on multiple occasions. She's great with my pets, and I know they're in good hands whenever she comes over. Kathleen will send several pictures when she visits, and it's a great relief to see my pets are happy and healthy.
Kathleen was great with my dog! Highly recommend for anyone looking for someone to drop in on their pets in the Silver Spring area!
Kathleen was the best cat sitter! She took such good care of our kitten and not only taking care of her but also taking the time to play with her and walk her. She even provided pictures and updates with each visit. We will definitely be using Kathleen again!

Schedule
I'm currently working from home with a flexible schedule, so I can be present and attentive throughout the day if you choose to drop your pup off here; or I can come by your home for drop-in visits throughout the day. Just let me know what you would prefer!
