When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their environment exactly as they're used to, meaning same routine, same spaces, and same sense of security. I follow any instructions you leave carefully, whether that's feeding schedules, areas to avoid, or specific habits your pet has. For cat visits, I take my time rather than rushing in and out, giving shy cats space to come to me and making sure I'm attentive to social ones. For dogs, I make sure they're exercised, stimulated, and comfortable, and I always leave the home the way I found it. I've been doing this long enough to know that the small details matter, whether it be a favorite toy, a usual nap spot, a specific treat. My own 13 year old mini labradoodle, Hazel, is quite particular and has given me plenty of training in that area.
