Experienced dog owners with garden
Myself and my partner have both grown up with dogs - him having had a mixture of collies and mixed breeds, while I have had flat coated retrievers, cocker spaniels and a Rhodesian ridgeback since I was young. We have looked after my family dogs extensively in recent years, notably my parents’ two energetic flat coats (now 2 and 4) and my sister’s cocker spaniel (now 10) since she was a puppy alongside a number of friends’ dogs. In addition to this we now also have our very own Jack Russell puppy! He is incredibly sociable and adores dogs and people and we love spending our weekends and any spare time on walks and playing with him. As dog lovers with experience of dogs of all different sizes and temperaments we would love to look after and host your dog and give our pup Laszlo another friend to play with! We work on a hybrid basis so there is always someone at home with the dog and we have a fenced back garden for the dogs to play in, as well as access to the large, private Douglas Crescent Gardens to take dogs for walks and a play in a safe enclosed area during the working day, as well as a car for adventures further afield on weekends.

Kath & Douglas were great and provided a lovely home for Hugo during his stay. They have a large back garden which is fully enclosed and dog safe. They asked lots of questions about routine and likes & dislikes in order to provide a home from home for Hugo. I would thoroughly recommend boarding your dog with them.
Everything was fantastic! Katherine and Douglas were so kind and accommodating, making such an effort to help Rosa settle with them easily. Rosa was so well looked after and communication / photos were regular.
I would highly recommend Kath as a dog-sitter. She looked after my two Flatcoats and did an absolutely amazing job. From the start, Kath was friendly, reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs, which put me at ease straight away. Both of my dogs were so well cared for and treated like part of the family. They also got on brilliantly with Kath’s dog, Laszlo, which made the whole experience even better. It was lovely knowing they had such great company while I was away. Kath kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which really reassured me that they were happy, comfortable, and having a great time. Flatcoats can be quite energetic and full of personality, but it was clear they were in very capable hands. I came home to two relaxed, happy dogs, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Kath again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.
Douglas and Kath have looked after my Cocker Spaniel a number of times and have been excellent on each occasion. They’re kind, attentive, and clearly love dogs. Mylo always comes home content and well looked after. Their dog Lazlo is very friendly and a great companion. Highly recommend!
Douglas and Kath have looked after my Labrador multiple times now, from day care to longer overnight stays when I’m away on holiday, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more highly. From the moment we met, it was clear how genuine and caring they both are. Their dog Lazlo is incredibly friendly and brilliant with bigger dogs, which made settling in so easy. It’s such a comfort knowing my dog is not just being looked after, but is genuinely happy and enjoying himself. I was kept regularly updated with photos and videos of walks, playtime in the garden, and all the little moments in between, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. It’s rare to find people who treat your dog like their own, but Douglas and Kath absolutely do. A truly lovely couple who clearly love dogs!
Kath & Douglas have looked after our male Labrador many times over the past 6 years and he always comes home happy and well looked after! They send us regular photo updates, are always on time and treat our dog as if he was their own. Wilson loves playing with their dog and can’t wait to stay with them again soon!

Schedule
My partner and I both work on a hybrid basis so there is always someone home during the day to let dogs out for a loo break when required, as well as walks and playing during the working day. At weekends we like to take our dog Laszlo out for long walks, whether to the beach, a park or further afield to play and explore new places and would love to take your dog along.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced garden, as well as access to the larger, fenced private Douglas Crescent Gardens where we go regularly. Depending on your dogs needs there is plenty of space in our flat to let them have rest time or be crated as required. As dog owners ourselves we are very aware of an individual dog’s needs and quirks and are happy to accommodate!
