I'm a lifelong animal lover with a flexible schedule and a deep love for exploring the outdoors. I raised my dog from a puppy and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! I specialize in active walks and hikes for dogs who love to get out and explore- I like to work with a single dog at a time so I can really get to know them and develop strong communication with them. I know all the best dog-friendly spots in the area: Laguna de Santa Rosa, Riverfront Regional Park, Taylor Mountain, and the local bike trails. For older dogs, I'm happy to take it easy with gentle neighborhood strolls. I've also managed complicated medication routines for dogs in treatment, so I'm comfortable with pets who need extra care, need drop in visits, and I love cats too! I use positive reinforcement techniques and am comfortable with pets of most energy levels and temperaments. Whether your pup needs a trail adventure, your senior dog needs patient care, your cat needs some company, or you just need a reliable check-in, I'd love to help. My schedule is flexible, so I can accommodate last-minute requests, early mornings, or evenings—whatever works best for you and your pet. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust, my doggo was my world. I would love to be there for your pet!

In My Home: I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. I maintain a calm, safe environment and follow your established routines as closely as possible—from feeding schedules to playtime preferences. For dogs, I provide plenty of exercise through walks or hikes suited to their energy level, and I'm always attentive to their comfort and body language. I keep pets secure with leashed walks, and I'm vigilant about potential hazards both indoors and on trails. For pets on medication or special diets, I follow instructions carefully and keep detailed notes. I also provide regular updates with photos so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. Since I work from home, the pet is with me 24/7, with only short breaks if I need to go do an errand - in which case we use a crate. In Your Home: I respect your home as I would my own. I follow all your instructions for feeding, medication, routines, and house rules. I keep things tidy, secure doors and windows, and ensure your pet stays safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I'm happy to bring in mail, water plants, or adjust lighting to give your home a lived-in feel while you're away. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates and am always available if questions come up. My goal is to make the transition seamless for both you and your pet.
Ratings and reviews
Katherine has been amazing over the years with my hound dog, and my mom's dauchaunds. She is very loving and attentive, has helped with administering medicines when needed, and helped us out on short notice. For a walker or sitter she can't be topped, my dog loves seeing her.

Schedule
I work from home as a freelancer and can accommodate most requests on weekdays, sometimes I can also pick up work on weekends. I walk everyday, rain or shine and love to bring happy dogs on the trail!
