Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Typical house sitting, drop-in visits and walks look as follows: HOUSE SITTING: + two feedings per day + (dogs) let out into your yard (or, if no yard, take on a walk) every 4 hours or less during the day, 9 hours or less overnight + ensure fresh, clean water is always available + (cats) scoop and clean litter boxes as often as requested + administer pet medications as needed, if needed + play with pets for 30 minutes to 1 hour total per day if they are amenable to play, usually in short 15-minute sessions. "Tricks-for-treats" training happily included if desired + clean up after pet/s through the duration of the booking, and after myself ("leave the home as I found it") + if requested, walk pet/s for up to 30 minutes total per day (included) + able to walk pet/s for up to two hours total each day (additional charge will apply) + see "typical day" section below for additional information - Puppies (under 2 years of age): relieved as often as needed/desired both during the day and overnight, and played with for up to two hours per day, split into short 5-15 minute sessions. Potty training happily included, free of charge! - Specially-abled pets or pets with limitations: let out/walked to be relieved as often as needed, both during the day and overnight. DROP-IN VISITS: + on arrival, I will greet the pet/s in whatever way they like + dogs let out into the fenced yard, or leashed up and walked*** + any other care requested (feeding, tending litter box/es, refilling water dish/es, administering medication/s) will be completed + the rest of the 30 or 60 minutes will be filled with play (if they are willing!) and typing up, and taking pictures for, the Rover card update to you! + if pet/s are shy or otherwise disinterested in me, I will happily loiter (usu. play or read on my phone) for the rest of the visit so that they can become accustomed to my presence + a short extra chance to potty is provided at the end of a drop-in for dogs, especially if the first outing was short (due to heat/weather conditions, or any other reason) ***WALKS: If your pet/s require a walk outside of your private property during a visit - such as around your neighborhood or apartment complex - this is considered a walk service. If a walk is an optional component of a visit, this is considered a drop-in visit service. + walks can include any/all of the above drop-in visit pet care tasks! + if your pet/s require a walk and other care tasks during a visit, the walk itself will be shorter than the total visit time accordingly. [For example, if you desire a 30-minute long walk and also for other care tasks to be completed, a 60-minute visit is appropriate.] TRUST :) Over 1/2 of Rover clients have rebooked my services at least once, and also more than half of clients have left at least one formal review. (Stats updated Feb 2025) Genuine feedback of any kind is always very appreciated! I hope and work towards clients always finding me to be excellent, am always on the lookout for ways to improve my services, and strive to follow the golden rule: treat others how I would like to be treated. This extends to you, and your family - both furry and otherwise.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
Pet care is my primary livelihood, so rest assured that your pets are my priority! My schedule of availability includes all times of day, on most days, and I greatly enjoy filling it with experiences with all kinds of pets. Although I accommodate "last-minute" requests whenever I am able, I recommend reaching out one to two months in advance of the dates you desire pet care; three months in advance for dates that include a holiday. My Rover calendar availability is kept up-to-date and accurate through 6 months out. I formally confirm bookings 6 months out at maximum, but I'm happy to pencil you in as far out as you'd like. Please allow up to 24 hours for me to respond to your initial request, as I am "away" from my desk more often than I am at it. In turn, when I am with your pet/s, they have my full attention. 🐶

- Let me know as much as you'd like prior to a visit. Critical bits of info can include: any special needs; medications and their dosages; any behaviors that may be alarming at first occurrence for someone unfamiliar with the pet, even if ultimately harmless. For example, your cat likes to hang from the curtains while watching birds and you're ok with it, so long as it's the red curtains in the living room? I'm happy to let them enjoy the view!
