Pet care experience

Licensed Veterinary assistant

Hi! My name is Katherine, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I’m a Licensed Veterinary Assistant with over 10 years of hands-on experience working with animals. Because of my veterinary training, I’m able to provide a level of care that goes beyond basic pet sitting. I understand animal behavior, health, and safety, which helps me keep pets comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. My experience includes: • Veterinary clinic experience • Pet boarding & daycare care • Shelter volunteering • Caring for puppies, seniors, and special-needs pets • Administering medications when needed • Recognizing early signs of illness or distress I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, medication, or just a calm companion, I adjust my care to their individual needs. When your pet is with me, you can expect: ✔ Lots of love and attention ✔ Frequent updates and photos ✔ Safe handling from someone with veterinary training ✔ Reliable and responsible care I understand how important pets are—they’re family. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for, and that you feel completely comfortable while you’re away. I also understand that quality pet care can get expensive, so I’m always willing to discuss pricing and work with you when possible to find something that fits your needs and budget. 🐾 I look forward to meeting you and your pet! 🐶🐱

Safety, trust & environment

As a Licensed Veterinary Assistant, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any medical needs so I can provide consistent care while their owner is away. I closely monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and ensure they are always in a safe environment. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine, providing plenty of attention, and keeping their space clean, calm, and secure.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a online college student with a flexible schedule and a background in veterinary care, I am able to dedicate focused time to each pet I care for. I structure my day around walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and check-ins to ensure every pet receives consistent attention and care. Because animals have always been a big part of my life, spending time caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize.

Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine, personality, and any special needs. This includes feeding schedules, medications, behavioral triggers, favorite activities, and any medical concerns. Understanding these details allows me to provide the safest and most comfortable care possible. I also encourage owners to share anything that helps their pet feel secure so I can keep their routine as consistent as possible while they are away.
