I am very comfortable walking dogs on leash or if you have a yard, I am more than happy to play with and supervise them outside. I will always follow all feeding and medication instructions and will clean up any messes that may occur. If your pet has specific training you would like me to reinforce, I will use any words or techniques you prefer. Your pet’s safety and happiness is my top priority!

I am happy to reinforce any training your pet may be working on. Please let me know how your pet usually reacts to meeting new people and I can follow any introduction protocols you recommend. Please let me know if your pet has any food allergies and if there are any behaviors during walks (reactivity, prone to trying to eat things) or in the home (fears, separation anxiety) that I should be aware of.
A typical day
I love going for long walks and letting the dogs explore the sights and smells of the neighborhood. Playing games that are both physically and mentally stimulating. My dog loves playing "find it" where I hide toys or treats around the house for him to find. I would also love to learn about any other games your pet loves to play!

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, and hamsters! I have loved caring for my past and present pets. My dog, Spiffy, is reactive (barks at other dogs and people). After I worked with a trainer, I now know how to handle a reactive dog and he has improved immensely! I have enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, being sure to follow all feeding and medication instructions closely and always being respectful of house rules. I recently raised a puppy myself and know how much work it takes! I have also cared for my pets in their senior years and always wanted to make sure they were as comfortable as possible. I can’t wait to get to know you and your fur babies!

Katie is your ideal sitter. She is reliable, quick to respond, flexible and leaves informative updates. My cats also liked her and when we came home it was clear she had been keeping up with all the chores involved. She takes care of things without needing too much explanation which is nice when you are gone. Would 100% recommend her.

Katie has always been great with my babies (German Shepherd and cat). She regularly helps me by walking my dog and handling the feeding and meds for both pets while I’m away. She’s always patient with my sometimes-pushy dog, but knows how to encourage her to behave. Katie is the best!
