I have over 52 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. I grew up on a farm and have spent my entire life around pets, including dogs of all sizes, senior animals, anxious pets, injured animals, and pets with medical or special-care needs. I am comfortable caring for giant breeds, administering medications and injections, following special routines, and providing extra attention when a pet needs it. I have cared for pets with conditions such as epilepsy and have experience helping very nervous animals feel safe and comfortable. For example, I once helped care for extremely anxious senior Chihuahuas who were afraid of people, and with patience and consistency, they gradually learned to trust and feel comfortable around us. I am home 24/7, so pets in my care receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. I am very flexible and happy to follow each pet’s normal routine, whether that includes walks, feeding schedules, medication, extra cuddles, unusual habits, or any special instructions their family has. I truly love animals and treat every pet as an individual. My goal is for them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and completely at home while they are with me. Chances are, by the end of their stay, your pet will think they found a new best friend!

Schedule
I am home 24/7, so I have plenty of time to give pets the attention, supervision, and care they need throughout the day. Dogs are taken outside for bathroom breaks every 2–3 hours, or more often if needed based on their usual routine. We also have access to a dog park, so dogs who enjoy extra exercise and social time can have opportunities to play and burn off energy when appropriate. I am happy to adjust to each pet’s normal schedule, including feeding times, walks, medication, playtime, naps, and any special routines. Because I am home throughout the day, pets are rarely left alone and can enjoy lots of companionship, attention, and care while their family is away.

I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, potty breaks, meals, fresh water, and any medications or special care they may need. For fun, I love doing activities that match each pet’s personality and energy level. This can include walks, playing with their favorite toys, fetch, enrichment games, practicing simple tricks, cuddle time, or just relaxing together if they prefer a calmer day. I also enjoy spending one-on-one time with pets and giving them lots of affection so they don’t feel lonely while their family is away. I’ll always follow the owner’s instructions and adjust activities based on the pet’s age, health, comfort level, and usual routine.
