If you're looking for more than a traditional boarding or pet-sitting experience, I'd love to care for your dog! I specialize in personalized overnight house sitting and one-on-one boarding, with a focus on keeping dogs comfortable, loved, and surrounded by companionship while their families are away. When your dog stays in my home, I only care for one client family at a time—no kennels, no large groups of unfamiliar dogs, and no crowded boarding environment. Your dog becomes part of our family while they're here, with plenty of attention, time in our large fenced backyard, regular walks, and a comfortable home environment. For dogs who are happiest in their own home, I also offer overnight house sitting with regular daytime companionship so your dog isn't left alone for long stretches. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and extensive experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and needs. I especially enjoy senior dog care and have experience administering medications and providing extra support for dogs who need a little more patience and individualized attention. As a stay-at-home mom of three, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend a significant amount of time with the dogs in my care. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home while you're away.

Katherine’s attention and amazing care for our two dogs was above beyond any expectations! Immediately both of our boys were very comfortable and excited to see her. While we were away, she get several updates, photos and videos. All of which were very comforting and very much appreciated. Not to mention her quick response for our last minute need. We will absolutely be a recurring clients!!
My dogs were so well taken care of that I thought they might choose to not come home with me. 😂 Honestly the best experience I have ever had with a sitter. Great communication, lots of pictures, and my dogs were treated like family.

Cannot say enough about how great this family is with animals. We have an older dog and worry about leaving her with anyone, Katherine kept us updated on everything happening and was amazing taking care of her. Felt very comfortable with our dog staying with her and her family. Her children are very respectful and good with animals, not overwhelming them and giving them their space when needed. Would recommend a thousand times over.
My husband and I are three-years retired and empty-nesters, except for our senior dog. Because of her age, infirmities, and fear of other dogs, I refused to board her, fearing the lack of care that I can give her… until my youngest son’s impending marriage in New Orleans on April 17. I dreaded putting Scout somewhere for 6 days; the thought of it really worried me…. Until my husband found Katie Rousonelos on Rover.com. Prior to our scheduled booking, we took Scout to meet her and check out the lay of the land. Katie keeps a very clean, dog-friendly home, and we got to meet her two youngest children who were quite gentle with Scout. The fenced in backyard was a plus for Scout to roam around. Katie also only takes one family’s dog (s) at a time, which was what really sold us. Katie sent pictures and updates, which reassured me the entire six days. I would give Katie and her family 10 stars if I could for the excellent care she gave Scout, and the peace of mind she gave my husband and me. I HIGHLY recommend Katie Rousonelos; you will never need a different place to board your dog!
Katie was amazing! She took in Kapri for several days sending daily updates with details of the day and activities. I was at so much ease knowing how Kapri settled and was cared for. Will definitely book again

Schedule
I am home full-time as a stay-at-home mom, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and companionship throughout the day. I am available for boarding and daycare most weekdays and weekends with flexible drop-off and pick-up times. Because I only accept one family’s pet at a time, early booking is encouraged.

Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only care for one family’s pet at a time, which allows me to give your dog my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home full-time, so your pet will have consistent supervision and companionship throughout the day. I follow your dog’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, and any special care instructions. We have a large, fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play. For dogs who enjoy walks, we also have a quiet neighborhood trail nearby, and I’m happy to include them in my regular 3-mile walks if appropriate. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving home where your dog feels comfortable, secure, and cared for while you’re away.
A typical day
I have a beautiful trail in my neighborhood, I walk about three miles a day, as long as your dog enjoys walks this is a fun activity I like to do with pets I board.
