I’ve had dogs my whole life and love caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I’m active and spend a lot of time outdoors with my husky mix, Nugget, so your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I prioritize safety, reliability, and communication, and I tailor my care to each dog’s individual needs and routine. Whether your pup loves adventure or prefers a calm companion, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away.

Katherine was such a fabulous dogsitter. She was our first Rover and she set the bar so high. She is a great communicator, she was flexible with us when our trip plans changed and was flexible with planning around drop off/pick up. She sent us daily updates of their adventures with pics and videos. We kept joking the dog was having a better vacation than we were. We would absolutely send our pup to stay with Katherine and Nuggets again and would happily recommend her to others.
e Rover.com family. Katherine is loving and caring person. Pets naturally gravite to her as she is one of the personalities that they seem to instinctively trust. Katherine is responsible and trustworthy. Having grown up in a home with dogs and cats, from her youngest memories pets have always been part of her family. She was responsible for the care and training of a Golden Retriever Pup when in Elementary School. Katherine learned at a young age that pets need clear, firm instructions and how to reinforce them. Being a dog owner, she understands the need for routine which give pets security and trust for their caregiver. She adopted her dog, Nugget,(huskey/lab/mix) from a rescue approximately 8 years ago. He was approximately 1-2 years old with basic manners and less training. He was a challenge, Katherine took that challenge and Nugget is a spirited, wonderful pet for her with her active lifestyle. Katherine will be an asset,not afraid of a spirited walk or an older animal (cat or dog).
Kstherine has loved and cared for our pets for years. The cats and dogs love her at their first meeting and for life. She can manage large and small dogs.

Schedule
I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and care. I’m able to accommodate morning, midday, and evening routines, and can be flexible depending on your dog’s needs. Whether your dog needs consistent daily care or occasional help, I’m happy to work with your schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard with a dog door, so your dog can go in and out as they please, or I can close it off if you prefer. My dog (a husky) loves being outside and often relaxes on his outdoor bed, but I also have multiple dog beds inside and outside so your dog will always have a comfortable place to rest. We stay very active with multiple walks a day, and I usually bike with my dog once a day using a harness and leash for safe exercise. If that’s something you’d like for your dog, I’m happy to include that as well. I always adjust to each dog’s needs, comfort level, and routine to make sure they feel safe and at home. I also have seat belts and harnesses in the backseat of the car for the dogs while driving.

A typical day
Hikes, walks, bike rides (with a harness and leash if approved), playtime with toys, and social time with other dogs if your dog enjoys that. I tailor the day to your dog’s energy level and personality- whether they love being active or prefer a slower, more relaxed pace. My goal is to make sure they’re happy, exercised, and comfortable.
