Loving big paws to little claws
I have been working at a local animal hospital for the past four years but loving animals for much longer! Growing up, I was always the person that would volunteer to watch friends and family member’s pets. When I started working at the animal hospital, I was introduced to clients who needed at-home pet sitting/walking and realized how much joy comes from directly interacting with pets in a comfortable environment. I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes and I am able to administer most medications. I understand the stress of being away from your fur-baby so I am committed to help easing that stress by communicating well and treating your pet like my own. As a bonus, I have always been involved with photography so I make sure to send plenty of photos!

Kate was very welcoming and happy to see Penny as soon as we arrived at Kate's house. As with prior stays, my husband and I really appreciate Kate's greetings because her kind words to Penny seem to make our dog very comfortable when we drop her off for her stay at Kate's home. My husband and I appreciated the early drop-off time for this visit which was helpful for our plans. We also really enjoyed the pictures and/or text updates of Penny during her stay that Kate sent. We look forward to Penny's future visits with Kate.
Our dog's visit needed to begin very early on Sunday morning and Kate gladly accommodated the arrangements that we needed. As always, Kate and Penny were so happy to see each other. Kate reviewed the plans for the day with me. My husband and I were able to see that Penny was happy to be with Kate and her friends ( Kate's cat and dog) at the door as we drove away. Kate's updates and pictures were so appreciated!! This was another excellent stay.
Kate is excellent in every way! Our dog's visit started outside with a wonderful greeting by Kate as we arrived to her home for the drop-off. Kate and Penny were clearly happy to see each other. Kate always checks with us to see if there is anything special that my husband and I would like her to do with, or for Penny during each stay. We love receiving the notes and pictures that Kate sent us during Penny's visit. Another wonderful stay!!!!
I was really in a jam and needed a dog sitter and Katherine was super flexible and simply amazing! She sent pics of Jimmy and he had a blast!
We are very appreciative of the wonderful care that Kate provided for our dog while we were away for several days. Drop-off and pick-up went very smoothly. Kate’s interactions with our dog were welcoming and comforting . Kate also sent us a variety of photos of our dog with nice messages daily.

Programa
My schedule at the animal hospital varies week to week but if I am working, I am still able to take care of your pet in the morning before work, during my lunch break and after my shifts. I am currently reducing my hours to dedicate more time to pet sitting so it is flexible!

If possible, I do like to do a meet and greet ahead of time for all new pets. This allows me to walk through their routine with you and make sure I know what each pet’s quirks so that I can tailor a plan to ensure they are in a safe environment. Some dogs can be trusted to be alone but some cannot and that’s okay! I am flexible and can make adjustments based on the pets needs. If the dog stays at my home, it is kept tidy with nothing left out that can be snatched by a naughty puppy (AKA mine! LOL). I also have a fenced in yard that’s perfect for playing in and I am near walking trails. The dog will need to be friendly with other dogs and cats in order to be boarded at my home.
