Safety, trust & environment

I live in an apartment, so I typically take dogs for walks in both the morning and evening and let them out every 3-4 hours as needed. I don't have any pets in the home, so there's no need to worry about any animal conflicts. I prioritize consistency and safety for your pets so as not to confuse them or reinforce udesirable behaviors; e.g., while I do allow animals on my furniture, if you don't allow that, I'll be sure to maintain that expectation.

Information Katherine M. would like to know about your pet

I generally like to know what your pet's daily routine looks like, how much exercise they need, the kinds of play they enjoy, and if they're reactive to anything in particular.

A typical day

I always go for lots of walks around the neighborhood, and depending on the dog, we go for hikes. I also try to keep pets stimulated through play like fetch or tug-of-war, or we'll sometimes do sensory activities like giving them an ice block with bananas and peanut butter or using snuffle mats.

I love playing with pets!

Pet care experience

My family always had dogs in our home, ranging from great danes and bloodhounds to dachshunds, but that doesn't mean I don't love cats! Animals are a big part of my life, so I have volunteered at local animal shelters since I was 16. As a volunteer, I walk and play with cats and dogs with a variety of personalities, and I have yet to meet one I haven't loved. I also take dogs out for day-trips and sleepovers; this allows for the dogs to relax in a less stressful environment, and we take some cute pictures to put up on the shelter's facebook page. Ultimately, I just want these animals to feel loved and cared-for, so I will do what I can to help. I'd love to meet your pet and provide for them the care they deserve!

Katie met us and our dogs a few weeks before the sit and visited with us again a few days prior to the sit. Our dogs loved her right away. She checked in on them at the specified times and stayed to pet and play with them. Katie took and posted pictures each time she dropped in. I definitely recommend her. Thank you so much Katie!

Katherine accommodated circumstances which demanded an odd hour drop off and pick-up . Zeke was happy and energetic upon return, typical. Photos sent showed he received exercise and attention, and found a comfortable for resting. All good. Thank you Katherine.

Katherine was fantastic! Took lots of great photos, and it was pretty clear that my corgo was having a chill, fun time staying with her. Highly recommended!
